The Motorcycle Boy - Big Rock Candy Mountain [RTT 210 1987 24-Bit FLAC] When Shop Assistants signed for a major, front-girl Alex teamed up with former members of Creation act Meat Whiplash to become Motorcycle Boy. This Peel favourite was released in 1987, before they too got a deal with Chrysalis Records. The rush to sign post-C86 bands was at its peak around the time and Chrysalis failed with every act they signed. An album, Scarlet was recorded and set for release in 1989, however corporate pressures resulted in the record being removed from the release schedule and Motorcycle Boy were dropped just after a couple of singles.
