Black Mountain - IV [JAG 277 UK 2016 24-Bit FLAC] It is time to have your mind (and speakers) blown by Vancouver psyche-space-retro rockers, Black Mountain. The excellent sleeve tells you exactly what you are going to get here ...and you won't be disappointed as these hairy beasts unleash a barrage of heavy riffs at your unsuspecting ears with all the pomp of Zep, Sab & Floyd - only forty years later than those original rockers. The unimaginatively titled IV was unsurprisingly their fourth album, I think this is all you need to hear from Black Mountain as the first three albums were just a support set and they then stood no chance of following this up. Sound familiar? This is the UK double pressing on yellow vinyl which surprisingly sounds great, my copy came with a bonus CD of demo tracks.
