Originally dwelling in post-Josef K arty punk funk, the Fini Tribe sound developed further for this EP - their second single, released on Robert King's (he of Pleasantly Surprised tape fame) Glaswegian label Cathexis Recordings. If you were listening to Peel in the mid-eighties, then you will know the main track, De Testimony , as this one of the most regularly requested tracks on Peel's radio show. It was often referred to as 'the one with the bells' ...or often misnamed Let The Tribe Grow . Whilst the A-side is high quality industrial dance, the b-side tracks take us to a darker almost neo-folk territory merging into the sounds of early Coil.
