Memphis - You Supply The Roses [SWP 4 UK 1985 24-Bit FLAC] One of my favourite singles from 1985 gets a very deserved re-rip. I last posted You Supply The Roses on ESWA back in 2011 when I was still learning my way in vinyl ripping. After a good clean, I'm rather chuffed with the results. James Kirk was the other guitar in the original Orange Juice and released this single as Memphis on Alan Horne's short lived Swamplands label. Like a breathe of fresh air, here is some fine Scottish indie pop with a little twinge of country. The b-side Apres Ski (yes, that's the second single in a row with that b-side), sounds like pop-period Orange Juice ....but possibly better. Kirk went on to work with other Scottish musicians, such as Paul Quinn and released a solo album, but not as Memphis, in 2003. A1 You Supply The Roses B1 Apres Ski
