This sold worldwide in huge volumes thanks to the Club Country and Party Fears Two singles which broke the band's unique avant-cabaret sound to the mass market. I have always been intrigued by Mike Hedges' unusual production style on Sulk , for me he is attempting to add a John Barry feel to the whole affair ...I guess that just adds to the drama, therefore deducing that Billy Mackenzie was actually the thinking man's Shirley Bassey!
