Nu Genea - Bar Mediterrano [NG05 ITA 2022 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC] Summer is well & truly a distant memory if you live on the top half of the planet, and one of the best selling vinyl albums (according to Discogs and if you could find a copy) was Nu Genea's second album Bar Mediterrano . I understand that it is out-of-print now so here is a rip of my copy. This funky Italian duo (augmented by a full band) deliver refreshing European retro-disco beats layered into Latin, African & Brazilian grooves. Formerly known as Nu Guinea, the duo are best known for their Nuova Napoli long player a few years back and before that their work with late great Tony Allen. The Nigerian drummer contributed his unique rhythms to the track Straniero , shortly before he passed away.
