Lost Horizons - In Quiet Moments [BELA 1111VX UK 2021 24-Bit FLAC] Richie Thomas was a part of Dif Juz and Simon Raymonde was once a Cocteau Twin, together they are Lost Horizons. With such pedigree you would expect something special ....and perhaps they have created something wonderful. I would be the first to say 4AD Records have lost their way a bit over the past twenty plus years, whereas Raymonde's Bell Union label has grown in reputation developing, promoting & releasing a wide variety of quality music. The first thing which springs to mind with this beautifully packaged album is This Mortal Coil. The concept of creating a variety of evocative moods through quality music mirrors the 4AD 'supergroup' however all the tracks are originals, mostly penned by Thomas and Raymonde however sung by a variety of vocalists, most unknown, others have been around for a while - no more so than Oregon soul singer Ural Thomas whose vocals on the title track are just sublime. ...
