The Junkyard Band - The Word [TA 7296] .....let me tell you about The Word . Rick Rubin's important Def Jam label picked up street kids The Junkyard Band, who initially offered the wonderful tea-time favourite Sardines , and their own comment on the US political scene at the time in The Word . all set to a hard and funky go-go beat. They are all grown up these days but evidence exists that Junkyard still perform in Washington DC. A new rip of an old school favourite which is still in good enough condition for one of best ever twelve inch rips.
