The Lounge Lizards - The Lounge Lizards [EGED 8 UK 1981 24-Bit FLAC] Last night I watched the final Parts Unknown by Anthony Bourdain who sadly took his own life earlier this year. Fittingly, the episode revolved around the personalities in his home neighborhood of the Lower East Side in New York City. Among the local luminaries (and not the not so so luminous ones) was local musician, artist and part-time actor John Lurie ....a true lounge lizard. Some avantgarde punk-jazz from New York's Lounge Lizards ripped from penguinflight 's immaculate original 1981 vinyl album. These lizards are saxophonist John Lurie and brother Evan on piano. Evan Lurie was later to record an album or two for Les Disques Du Crépuscule. Quirky guitarist Arto Lindsay (Ambitious Lovers and D.N.A.), bassist Steve Piccolo and percussionist Anton Fier make up the ensemble.
