Lunch - Let Us Have Madness Openly [MMR 32 USA 2015 24-Bit FLAC] Lunch hail from Portland, Oregon and led by the curiously named vocalist, Prometheus Wolf, they were at the forefront of the new American wave of retro-post-punk bands. This album has the feel of an early eighties release, even the distressed appearance of the cover art points to that era as well. Young Americans who chose to listen to early Cure, Joy Divsion, PIL and The Chameleons ....surely there can be nothing wrong with that? The decision to use raw, stripped-back production techniques with no modern trickery, helps this album stand out from a busy crowd and make it a big favourite on my turntable. The noisy clear vinyl pressing hinders during the random quieter moments...however this is good stuff and most of you should enjoy what Lunch did!
