In Embrace - Too [GLALP 004 UK 1983 24-Bit FLAC] I'd love to do a whole feature on Glass Records. This UK independent label was responsible for some damn fine product during it's relatively short existence but most have eluded my clutches. One of their more important and prolific acts were In Embrace, whose evocative approach to pop music failed to catch the ear of many an alternative music listener in the eighties mainly because many record shops overlooked them. With close links to Eyeless in Gaza and the early Cherry Red stable, lead voice Gary Knight surpassed comparable acts such as The Associates with his emotional mix of synthpop and arty acoustic independent pop music. After three albums and eight singles In Embrace were gone. This is their second album, long deleted and never repeated - I for one label Emotional Punchbag and Love Among The Crumbs as forgotten indie-pop classics.
