  Boots For Dancing - The Undisco Kidds [AOTNLP 005 UK 2015 24-Bit FLAC] Despite what the Athens Of The North label wanted us to believe, there was no lost, unreleased album by Edinburgh post-punk band Boots For Dancing, who only released three singles. In reality the label, compiled the band's three John Peel radio sessions and the five tracks recorded during studio time for the  Ooh Bop Sh'Bam single.  Despite the slightly misleading claims, this is a great compilation of Boots For dancing rarities which could only have been improved by the inclusion of the other two singles (there is space) and slightly less noisy vinyl. I'll have another go at a better rip of the band's self-titled 12" single soon to make up for that. Likely the most overlooked band from the Edinburgh scene, despite Peel's attentions, Boots For Dancing included former/future members of Josef K, The Rezillos, Delta 5 and The Human League among their numbers. Boots For Dancing - Ooh Bop Sh'Bam [WHY 100 UK 1982 24-Bit FLAC] If you blinked between 1979 and 1982, you may well have missed Boots For Dancing - three singles, three Peel Sessions, an aborted album and then these Scottish post-punk funksters were gone. Fans of Fire Engines, Josef K, (early) A Certain Ratio and early Higsons should be all over this, their last single released on their own Repo-X Records label.
