To Hell With Burgundy - Earthbound [FACT 217 UK 1989 24-Bit FLAC] In the years leading up their demise, Factory Records released a number of unusual records, most of which never sold and were subsequently confined to the annals of history, and completist collections. One of those albums was Earthbound by Manchester folk three piece, To Hell With Burgundy. As a label completist (at the time), I bought this totally unexpecting of the contents of the autumnal Central Station Designs sleeve - what I heard were these ten tracks of acoustic pop-folk tinged with elements of flamenco, cossack and spaghetti westerns. Thankfully this album seems to stand the test of time and To Hell With Burgundy represent their genre with more style & guile than their contemporaries such as Fairground Attraction.
