The B-52's - Cosmic Thing [MOFI 1-023 USA 2012 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC] Originally released on Reprise Records in 1989, re-released as part of the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Silver Label Vinyl Series, cut all-analogue from the original master tape by Paul Stubblebine. If it wasn't for one particular single, Cosmic Thing would likely have faded from memory along with many of the mid-period B-52's albums. The rawness & energy of the first two albums was gone, to be replaced by pop-polish primed for hit parades around the globe. Produced by Don Was and Nile Rogers, and propelled by the success of one particular single, the album was to be treasured by a new generation of fans around the globe. Many have mistaking believed that MOFI had killed the lower end with this release, in actual fact they hadn't.   The B-52's - Wild Planet [MOFI 1-014 USA 2011 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC] Originally released on Warner Brothers Records in the USA, and Island Records in Europe during September 1980. You will certainly not be disappointed. The Silver Label Series were for releases where the original master tape was not available, however the MoFi website declares this release was cut from the original tape, all analogue by Paul Stubblebine.  A1 Party Out Of Bounds A2 Dirty Back Road A3 Runnin' Around A4 Give Me Back My Man A5 Private Idaho B1 Devil In My Car B2 Quiche Lorraine B3 Strobe Light B4 53 Miles West Of Venus

The B-52s - The B-52s [MOFI 1-004 USA 2011 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC] Originally released on Warner Brothers Records in the US on July 12th 1979, and Island Records in the UK on the 20th July 1979. Scholars of The King's English have scorned for decades the random insertion of an unnecessary apostrophe into the name of the other big act to come from Athens, Georgia. Their first five (or six) albums have been fun, zany & essential listening for many over the decades, providing FM radio playlist entertainment across the globe ....plus of course, the occasional wedding night mobile disco floor filler. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab have adjusted their business model since the shame of DSD-gate and their digital step revelations. I have to applaud them for their new found honesty and the inclusion of a new-style SPARS code with each release. They have also dig into their back catelogue, found commercial opportunity in old licensing agreements, plus the metalwork of course, and reissued som...
