Rose Elinor Dougall - Stellular [VERMLP 1X UK 2017 24-Bit FLAC] It must be tough these days to make any kind of living from music, let alone as an indie-pop artist. The major labels are essentially just one conglomerate and have share holders to answer to, the larger indie labels have to be very careful with investing their cash and very few others plough on. Sadly, some artists find it necessary to sell their souls to Spotify. London's Rose Elinor Dougall has her own label, Vermillion Records, she used to work extensively with Mark Ronson and once fronted Brighton indie band The Pipettes. Stellular is her second album and I picked up this record in Rough Trade off the back of just one track, the opening and very splendid Colour Of Water. I've ripped that album today, it's the limited edition on clear wax with a bonus compact disc of remixes and demos.
