My copy of this album suffers from a bit of wear and tear so it was trial and error using the spectral repair and de-crackle functions. I've revisited the original wav files and cleaned things up considerably to to be able produce what I think is a very decent transfer. Orange Juice - The Orange Juice (The Third Album) [REWIGLP 52 UK 2013 24-Bit FLAC] Originally released in 1984 on Polydor Records, this is the RSD2013 repress on 180 gm virgin vinyl on Domino Records, and what a splendid pressing it is! I have often been critical of modern day pressings and the background noise levels which are indicative that in many instances the art of mastering to good quality vinyl has been lost. Hats off to Domino for getting this one spot on, in fact I am proclaiming that the whole audio experience has also been lifted by a masterful Dennis Bovell production. By the time of the third album, the hangover from Rip It Up has resulted in Orange Juice shrinking to the duo of Edwyn Collins and Zeke Manyika. This album was also responsible for two of the band's most overlooked singles, Lean Period and What Presence?!
