Kongas - Anikana-O [91 021 BEL 1978 24-Bit FLAC] The non-African French afro-funk-disco band, Kongas included francophone disco-supremo Marc Cerrone among their ranks. This Belgian 1978 pressing features tracks originally on their self-titled debut album and is on green vinyl in immaculate condition, making this rip easy work. It's flares and wide collars all round as these mustached groovers bash out a serious afro-beat without, it seems, any Africans. The title track, running at a meaty ten minutes and Jungle were singles originally released around 1974. Kongas Fun seems to borrow more than just a few beats from Candido's Jingo .
