To follow on from this week's Sgt Pepper posting, and from the same Japanese reissue series, here is the 1977 reissue for the far east market, assuming cut from the master tape at Abbey Road Studios in London. Today's date is a poignant one, although I know the official records will always state John Lennon was murdered on December 8th 1980 New York time, it was the early morning here in the UK of the 9th December. It is an important date for me personally and I can still recall exactly what the 14 year old me was doing when I heard the sad news.
