  Treebound Story - I Remember [ELM 1 UK 1986 24-Bit 176.4kHz FLAC] We began the week in Manchester, so time now for a quick hop across The Pennines to Sheffield, however not the hard industrial landscape of the steel town, but to a gentle guitar indie-pop place more akin to the lore of Steven Patrick and Johnny Marr. Those who know this record, released on Fon Records will surely love it, there is absolutely no reason to dislike I Remember with its delightfully simple guitar hook.  Peel loved it, he played it to death, however after just one Peel Session and four varying singles Treebound Story were no more - a pity as an album could have been hugely important. This is from a time when similar bands like 1000 Violins and the original Beloved line up were important to the very few of us who bought these records.
