Manchester's Be With Records have managed to secure the worldwide reissue rights for American blue-eyed soul boy Bobby Caldwell's first two albums. These have been out-of-print for decades and originals fetch good money in reseller markets. Caldwell's popularity in Japan has also been significant, especially with the resurgence in the Japanese city-pop phenomena, and his influence over there. Not to everybody's taste, Caldwell's talent is widely recognised across many other genres especially in the rap world where his music has often been sampled. Of note as well, Bobby plays most of the instruments himself on these eleven smoochy jazz-soul numbers.
