Pet Shop Boys - Introspective [PCSX 7325 UK 1988 24-Bit FLAC] Originally marketed as Disco II , however renamed on release, here is my rip from the three x 12" limited edition of the second Pet Shop Boys compilation, Introspective . These six tracks fit much better on twelve inch singles, rather than crammed onto one 33rpm platter, hence the rip quality is quite exceptional - even though I say so myself.  Except for I Want A Dog , all the tracks were singles, represented here in remixed forms. I'm Not Scared was written by PSB, and a huge hit for Patsy Kensit and Eight Wonder , so I am pretty sure this was the first time we got to hear Tennant and Lowe perform it for themselves. The mega-mix version of  Always On My Mind / In My House represented the duo's first venture into house music and works well here as it leads nicely into It's Alright . Pet Shops Boys - Paninaro [14-2015626 ITA 1986 24-Bit FLAC] In my humble opinion, their finest moment. It seems to have been widely forgotten that the Pet Shop Boys began life as a UK/Ital-disco duo and the first few singles were written and produced with a lot of help from Bobby Orlando. So, as it is in their roots, Paninaro was dedicated to high fashion, early eighties Italian street culture. Not available in the UK at the time, unless of course you bought them out of the back of a white van or from specialist dance retailers.
