Flashback Friday

Today it is this week in 2011...

Iza got dinner on the deck!  She just refused to come in.

Ayla and Marley discussed this with some amazement!

But Iza had a bird out there (it was already dead)...

And she intended to enjoy it all by herself.

So she didn't want the door opened enough for the others to get out!

She had a thoroughly good time.

 

Flashback Friday

 This week 2013 this time!

Marley and Iza were relaxing together in the yard.

Later, Iza napped on the Smoker Grill Cover.  Black Canvas + Sun = Warmth.

Ayla was watching the house from on the top of the bookcases.  BTW, the ceiling isn't that green.  It is just barely green beyond white.  The camera does funny things sometimes!

Iza was enjoying the warmth from the TV.  She really loved warmth.

And she got bird.  Into the house.  Sneaky little girl hid it under her chin when I opened the door.

And I let her have it.  It was dead, so why not?

She cherished that she had a bird in the house.  Cost me nothing to let her enjoy it.  Had to pick up a few tail-feathers, but that wasn't much effort.  

And if you are wondering, she probably caught 20 mice/shrews and a few loud frogs for every bird.  

Mancat Monday

LAZ:   I caught  A bird!  Its been a while...

And I ate the WHOLE thing!

Birdie Tuesday

LAZ:   I caught a birdie.  But TBT wasn't happified about it.  It was one he likes.  But I can't really tell them apart.  For me, it is mostly if a stoopid one comes within reach.  Seriously, we cats only catch the stoopid ones...

He says it was a bloobird.  OK, sure I saw it was bloo.  I know some colors.  Mostly yellow/green/blue.   TBT says there are others.  And Ive learned what he calls "red" is a particular shade of grey and I can tell some difference in that.

But it was a tasty one. better than the canned food (which I also love).

I ate the whole thing!  Well, OK, I left the feet an a few fevvers...

Caturday Saturday

 LORI:  I caught a birdie.  IN the house!  It was weird.  TBT opened the deck door and I returned for lunch.  And a birdie FLEW RIGHT IN THE HOUSE after me!  

Well, of course TBT was confused.  Birdies don't fly into the house,  They normally hit the door and if they are annoying ones like sparrows, he lets us out to play with them.  

But this one was inside an all confoosed and all.  I reacted immediately!  It tried to fly out the kitchen window but I was right at it and grabbed it.

I was so excited I even walked all over the mayo-covered sandwich TBT was making.  He was not thrilled about that, but IT WAS A BIRDIE!

Naturally, he had no time to take a picture.  And I didn't care about his sandwich.  IT WAS A BIRDIE!

I grabbed it.  But TBT carried me back outside with it.  I went to paw it down, but it escaped.  I dint bite it hard enough in the right place.  😖

Ive GOT ta get better at that.  Marley just gave me a 😏 look after.  I sure have a lot to learn about hunting!  I am annoyed...

And I had ta lick mayo off my paws!
