Meezer Colors Day & Flashback Friday

Today, we are doing both.  Flashbacks of Ayla in her Meezer Color Day glory!

It was a surprise to see her resting on a high tree branch!  I consider this one of my best pictures.

She has a "pose".  Front paws together and tail wrapped around in front.

I have a pic of her with a Jay she caught (and those aren't easy).  But it shows her colors nose-to-tail fairly well.

Getting a good pic on her windowsill perch is unusual.  This one worked.  And it shows her blue eyes!

This one shows her colors nicely against a clear blue sky.  And she was on the roof 2 stories up.  She climbed an extension ladder to get there (I was taking down an old TV antenna).  No fear of heights to her!  And Ayla and blue always look good together.

Another typical Ayla pose.  Feet together, tail wrapped.  Red-eye adjustment couldn't fix her eye reflection...

Here is the family Meezer girl "Hai Yu" from the late 60s...

And the first Meezer in the family (Kenani) around 1959.  I think Mom chose "Pretty Little Girl" for both of their names in different Eastern Asian languages.

And I'll allow Iza too.  She expressed the most Meezer colors that a Tonkinese can have.  Buff furs, blue eyes.  In fact, I have her original papers certifying her (in error) as a Siamese.  The Siamese breeder sold her to me cheap because she purchased her to be a Queen, but grew "smudgy" as she matured.  LOL!

Laz gets a pic for being 1/2 Meezer...  Some Meezer colors and deep blue eyes.  This is a pic from before he came here, but I have yet to get a better one.  And "yes" he has big paws, LOL!

Happy Meezer Colors Day to all the Meezers and relateds.

Mo Cats Day

We love this day!  We mean, after all, the world is better off with "Mo Cats".  Who would keep the house mouses unner control iffen not fer US?  Woofies can grab one going past sometimes, but they can't ezactly hunt them good, ya know?

And would it make sense to have "The Dog In The Hat?  Seriously, it would just toss the hat off and shake it to bits.  And eat Thing 1 and Thing 2...  And there would be an "accident" in the corner of the den...

This is what "MO CATS" looks like:

An we dont wanna forget past MO Cats.

LC and Skeeter were sure "MO" Cats.
And there was the first cat TBT remembers, Kenani

And Hai Yu...   With our Aunt Susie (She hates this old picture but its all TBT has of Hai Yu)

TBT tried hard ta put us all together in one picture, but hes actally getting WORSE at Photoshop, if that is possible, so he couldn't.

There are old-fashioned chemo-pictures of others in between, but they remain yet to be scanned...  But THEY were MO Cats too and they count...

Happy Mo Cats Day!

When We Were Young

Well, Bast, we almost missed it!  An its not like we have a lot of time left today to come up with pictures.  Heck, its not like we are even very far from kittenhood, so "when we were young" is sorta a recent menory.

But we wanted ta join in...

AYLA
IZA
MARLEY

But we agreed to show our recent kitten pictures mostly because we wanted to let evrryone remember the older cats who came before when THEY were kittens...

LC (1993):
SKEETER (1992):

Now REALLY into the past...  Yeah they arent kitten pictures, but they sure are "they way they were".

HAI U PHIN (about 1965):
KENANI (1958):
Iffen ya notice a clear path of Ayla-like Meezer girlcats in TBT's life from Then ta Now, yer right...

There were other cats between Hai U Phin and Tinkerbelle, but there was a decade or two when TBT couldn't afford film.
