MARLEY:  First, I want ta thank everyne who came ta my birfday pawty Friday (and Saturday - it started late so it ended late) or sent me Happy Birfday wishes!

Second, Ayla dint fall over yesserday while napping sittin up.  We were curios though cuz TBT has told us about the time LC was nappin by the edge of the deck and she rolled over and off she went!  She landed on her feet of course and came right back up the stairs, but she glared at TBT something fierce like he had something ta do with it.

Annyway, third, today I gave TBT another big reach and morning welcome...

Mancat Monday - Morning Glory

MARLEY:  The Mews Room window doesnt actally get morning light.  Its on the north side, but the window is so close to the platform tree (and by the time TBT actally gets up) it is pretty bright.  So it FEELS like morning, ya know?

So it IS morning when TBT finds me there most mornings.  I usually greet him with wide open paws.  He missed it this time, but thats the cameras fault.  And I don't do it twice...

So I hopped down and went to the kitchen to wait for First Breakfast.  It was served promptly, as usual.  It is good ta have routines!  Getting the day started with things ya can expect is allus good.

Morning Greetings

MARLEY:  Sometimes we have morning greetings before First Breakfast. 

Iza is usually calmest then.  She knows TBT has to be around for there ta be food, and he wasnt up yet...

So she bestows a few kisses and licks.  That is a nice way ta wake up.

And we talk a bit...

But eventually decides ta go wake TBT up.  She is ALLUS hungry...

I gave her a paw-tap of thanks.  Ya want morning licks, ya gotta say thank you.

Easy Like Sunday

AYLA:  Morning had arrived and TBT was up.  First thing he does evry morning is do a nose count.  Marley was curled up in his favrit little cave.

Iza is often in some unusual place.  This time it was a laundry basket in the hallway.  She knows she can't miss him from there AND she can see the food bowl holders.

By that time I was up myself.  I slept on the throne overnight.

So we were all set for First Breakfast.  It was Toona this time!  TBT kinna chokes at the idea of Toona fer breakfast, but we feel the same about his pancakes with tree sap...

Womancat Wensaday

AYLA:  Sorry, I was just glowing this morning.. It messes up the camera.

I can get it a bit under control, but still not really awake.  Yawning...

I'll get more focussed after First Breakfast...

Wensday Morning 7AM

MARLEY:  Good Morning, Sunshine...

I can hear the soft breathing
Of TBT beside me,
As I lie on my platform
In the early sunlight,

The morning sun on me
Warms up my tummy,
As I ready myself
For the day to begin.

For I know with the smell
Of the stinky goodness breakfast
I must be away and
The day's joys will start!

For a spoonful of Tuna
And a few more of Beef,
I've woken and
And stretched myself awake...

Oh, what have I done,
Why have I done it?
I've gotten up early,
I have broken my rule...

Now I must run down the hallway,
Into the kitchen,
Before Ayla and Iza eat it all
I'll be there.

Then out to the backyard,
Where theyre waiting
The Mousies, Moles,
And Volies will be there,

Waiting for Me find them. 
And when we meet
They won't have
Woes or Cares...

Mancat Monday

MARLEY:  I love to see TBT first thing in the morning.  I roll over on my back and stretch way out to reach him.

I invite him rub to my tummy, and he almost allus does.

And wait to see what he will do next (sometimes he has a treat in his pocket).

Then I stretch way out to him again.

A little bit of grooming allus gets his attention.   He finds our differences fascinating!

Then I usally sit there a few minutes deciding whether to get up or nap more.

But since the next sound I hear is usally a food can being opened, I dont have ta think fer very long!  Seriously, ya GOT ta be at the food bowls as fast as Iza, or ya get nothing...

Mancat Monday Flashback

MARLEY:  We got caught without anny pictures.  So its a Flashback Day!

Happy Mancat Monday (with a side order of Tummy thrown in)!  C'mon closer so I can give ya a Good Morning Hug.

Is it really time ta get up already.  Im so comfy here right now.

MARLEY:  TBT got up early (fer him) this morning.  Ayla an Iza said he was comin back ta bed, but I know something about TBT the girls dont.  When he turns on the hall light, hes UP!

So I did a mild stretch and stepped off the bed ta wait in the kitchen.  Cuz the first thing he does when he is REALLY up is feed us!
