Easy Like Sunday

TBT:   It occurred to me today that I don't really remember who created the "Easy Like Sunday" theme, but I sure appreciate it.  Actually, I suspect that most of us have added some little phrase to the Cat Blogosphere, but I love "Easy Like Sunday" especially.  It starts my week!

So, oddly, I want to show some "not purrfect" pics.  "Easy Like Sunday" seems to allow "Easy"...

The boys were getting along so well, I just couldn't delete the blurry pics...

New Reader App

We are trying a new reader app (Inoreader.com).  We won't get it all right at first (there are lots of choices to make) but it imported our current list from Feedly OK and seems promising.  We sent a test comment to one cat that we couldnt before recently, and it seems to have worked.  

We will try to learn more about it soon...

Mancat Monday (With Added Ayla)

LAZ:  I had a good time outside.

I moved all over the lawn jus sniffin things.

I smelled mousies...

Watched some bugs...

Ayla wanted ta come out.  I was nice.

I walked away to prove it.

She likes ta sniff around the door a LOT!

She is allus ready ta run back inside.  Marley tells me she used ta be outside lots, but I'm not so sure.

More door-sniffin...

I can back an we sniffed again.

But she seemed nervous.

So I went back down ta the lawn ta leave her the deck.

It is more fun down here annyway.

She can have the deck.

She sure loves ta sniff things that arent alive!

 

Easy Like Sunday

LAZ:  After lunch, I was redy ta go out!  Usally, staring out is a good enough signal to TBT.

But not this time.  So I tapped on the door. 

He thought (he SAYS) that meant I wanted sniffies.  Right, he was funning me.

Dont worry, he immediately opened the door wider.  That proves I was right.  He KNOWS I dont just SNIFF!

New Caturday Saturday

MARLEY:  There is a new cat in the house!  Ya dont have ta be a MIGHTY HUNTER ta tell that.  Ive known for several days. 

But I figured that iffen there was, TBT brought it in, so it is gonna be part of the fambly.  So thats OK.  And the smell on the mat outside the door made it pretty obvious too!

I sat there and talked to it, but got no answer meow.

I wish I could open this door, but the secret of the metal opener still eludes me.

Sniff, sniff...  Hey, its a mancat!  That could be inneresting.  I wonder what a brofur is like?  Ive neffer had one before.  Its probably a good sign that it isnt hissing at me under the door.  That would be worrisome.

Well, I'll just sit here and talk.  Mebbe will come to the door  and I'll learn more about him. 

I kinna miss getting in the room and sleeping on the platform, but I DO remember being closed in there when I was new.  TBT sneaks in and out of our room hourly.  So I guess that does mean it is new. 

Ayla is paying it no attention at ALL.  I not sure if that means she is just ignoring it, doesnt quite realize it is there, or just waiting patiently to meet him.   Sometimes, I never know WHAT she is thinking!

Werdy Wensday

TBT is really casual about a lot of stuff.  The 2015 Cat Christmas cards were stacked  on a tiny table.   He kept meaning to put them in a box.

I solved that the other day.  I jumped up there.  They all came down.  I curled up on them.

Why?  Because I could still sniff my friends on them.  

I spread them out well and napped with happy thoughts of friends...

TBT put them all in a shoebox (where they fit exactly purrfectly BTW).  And he left the box on the floor fer me!

Easy Like Sunday

AYLA:  We love waitin to go out together on sunny mornings.  I have to say we generally get along pretty well.  When there is some fussing or even hissing, there is usally a decent reason.

However, this is a good picture ta show you all how Im the small fry of the Mews (even though Im the oldest).  Purrsonally, I think it shows my Royal Pedigree Of Delicate Nature.  Im the one in the middle...

Thankfully, the deck door DOES get opened eventually.  Why am I not in this picture (you ask)?  Because Im very agile and can hop over Marley and Iza with ease.

See me out there the farthest?  Annyway, there were some inneresting smells on the deck this morning.  WE know what it was, but we dont tell TBT EVRYTHING, you know?

We all found the spot where "it" sat...

Not saying what "it" was (in case TBT is reading this post).  We like ta keep some secrets from him.  And I want to point out that Iza had to sniff longer ta figure out what it was; shes the 40 watt of the fambly).  Note that I was already tracking it, while Iza was still sniffin the main spot.  Marley was checking back to TBT ta see iffen he knew what it was.  He dint.

So then Marley watched where I was heading to see iffen he could get ahead of me.

OK, OK, iffen ya PROMISE ta not tell TBT...  It was Evil Skwerl Pee.  I could tell by the acorn stink right off.  And the trail ended real fast, which means it jumped off the deck from where I tracked it to the edge. 

Iza said she thought it was Vishus deer.  Well, they DO eat acorns too, but they cant get in the yard much less up the stairs to the deck.  Poor Iza...  Sometimes I think her Mama picked her up by the neck too tight a few times when she was a kitten.

But we all had a nice morning outside until TBT called us in cuz he hadda go do some errands...
