I've had this piece of tree trunk in the basement for a decade. It was to be a "soft anvil" for chisel work, but it turned out I didn't do any of that. So, I've decided to bring it upstairs for a cat scratching post... It is amazing how a piece of tree trunk will last unblemished and undeteriorated when kept dry and safe from insects!

OLD-FASHIONED



This pewter stuff is rather "OLD-FASHIONED". I don't even have any idea HOW old it is. But it has been in the family for "a while". Can you imagine drinking out of metal that gets a patina on it? Anyway, they are 5 drinking cups, a pitcher, and a tray. Personally? I like them better with the age on them rather than all sparkly shiny. Um, have to admit it is easier to keep them this way, too. ;)

We cant think of annythin more IMPORTANT to us than our cans of stinky goodness! All this stuff purrfectly fills one whole pantry shelf. This picture was from August an we are down to one little row, so The Big Thing had better get out an hunt us up some more cans!

Well, we hadda look aroun fer a while to find anything really messy in the cave. Things have been oddly clean an organized lately. But we found a spot! The Big Thing's tool bench is MESSY!

Since our camera won't take pictures of bright lights (like light bulbs turned on), we decided to re-think "light". Well, we love playin wif fevvers, an they dont weigh anythin at all. So they seemed real "light" to us...

SKEETER: This is me my 1st week with The Big Thing. That's the TV remote next to me (its only 7" long). I was REAL SMALL then. So you can guess why I call my Bein "The Big Thing"!

These were the reddest things we could find - some of our KITTY TOYS!

We liked this one. It looks like a RED Monster climbin up through the kitchen counter! ACK!

This jar of hot chinese mustard has been in the refrigerator for several years. It's stayed in there because The Big Thing has never gotten used to hot spicy food. It makes his entire scalp break out in sweat!

We decided on this because The Big Thing took apart our waterbed this week and used the white tube (to drain the water) and the garden hose (to refill it later). So they were both sittin around conveniently all curled up.
