Thursday Thirteen

Skeeter: Well dang, we had piciatures to use but The Big Thing says the stoopid camera batteries died again. We are going to haf to get him duplicate "rechargeable" batteries so some will always work!

Stoopid batteries!

Oh cool! He ordered some gadget thingy that keeps those stoopid bateries alive alla time! More bateries than the camera needs to eat at once.

Ooh, I wonder if there is a way to do that with scribbled eggs and ham?

Anyway, our 13 toys, as we see them:

LC Name

Derby asked what "LC" stands for.

It is kinda complicated and even rather circular. But I will do my best to explain it.

My name is really just "LC". The letters. But the letters have an origin.

Then I was gotted by The Big Thing, he wanted to figure out a name for me. I was mostly white with sme black spots on me. A Wise Woman where he went to every day suggested that I looked a bit like a dairy cow. That reminded them both of Elsie the Borden brand cow. They thought I looked like a little cow, like Elsie. Then it went from Little Cow, to Elsie, to LC. So I am named the letters "LC". I am not "little cow" or Elsie. I am "LC".

Then the vet people decided LC stood for "Lucky Cat" because I had a lot of problems and The Big Thing kept me anyway instead of just returning me.

But my small black spots grew into large connected black areas, so I don't think it all matters much anymore. My back is almost all black, but my underside and legs are almost all white. I suppose I am a "tuxedo cat" now.

I don't look like a "little cow" anymore, but I don't feel like changing my name. After all, it is now just the letters "LC".

WOTCLMAO! (Walking on the ceiling LMAO)

The Kitty Tower Progress

LC: Not much. The Big Thing had house problems. The noisy thing under the sink decided to start sending water out the side an he had to empty and dry a lot of smelly boxes and containers. I watched that from outside the room.

Then he had problems with the computer. He downloaded something called "Stopsign" an it ran for 10 hours (and then wouldn't do the antivirus thing it promised unless he bought something). He was very annoyed about that. Then he found the outside noisy thing car spattered with mud from some other beans car an he was very annoyed at that.

An the sparkly box is causing some problem, too. I don't know what it is. From his reaction, I don't want to know, either.

So he couldn't do any work on our kitty tower. :(

On the other paw, he scratched us both and smiled a said all that stuff wasn't our problem. He went out an bought something he needed to put big "staples" into the carpet in our kitty tower. At least he hasn't forgotten about that!

I mean, that is the most important thing to us!!!

He says he can fight with the other Big Thing machines some other day, but he wants to get our kitty tower finished first. Hurray!

He is going to get the carpet attached to the platforms first, then attach those to the posts. If they wobble any (and he expects they will) he will attach metal braces and may attach some some boards to the back.

He says, of course, there are places to attach the tower to the wall so nothing can ever wobble. Well, of course, he had better do that! If our kitty tower wobbles, I will bite his toes through the sleepy blankets! An Skeeter will sleep on his face at night...

Oops on the "Gotcha Day"

We are embarrassed. We got "Happy Gotcha Day" greetings from several people and that confoosed us. We talked about it and figured out that (we think) "Gotcha Day" is the day we were were "gotted" by The Big Thing. Is that right? We didn't mean to confoos anyone.

We weren't celebrating our Gotcha Days; just describing them. Again, oops...

We celebrate birth days here.

My (LC) Gotcha Day is Halloween. The Big Thing just got a burr stuck to his butt that day and decided Skeeter needed a friend. But Skeeter and he don't know what Skeeter's Gotcha Day is. It was just sometime in Summer.

Skeeter: The Big Thing brought me home in late warm time. I don't remember anything more than that.

The Big Thing: I'm guessing that that Skeeter and LC were about 6-8 weeks old when I found them. I really have no idea. They were both really small. My guess of their birthdays is early July for Skeeter and early to mid September for LC.

But we all celebrate our birthdays on mine, May 21st. Sometimes you just need to simplify things, and Skeeter and LC are officially considered to have been born on my birthday. We share it among us. It is sometimes nice being The Big Thing. LOL!
