Womancat Wensday

AYLA:   I love it when TBT comes inta the small bafroom where I spend most of my time.  He stays and talks ta me a lot and strokes my furs and stuff.

We talk back an forth a lot.  Well, hes a Being, so he does that.  An I'm a Meezer so I do that too.  I like ta talk a lot.

While I spend equal time in The Mews Room as the Bafroom, he usually knows where I am.  I think he has Catdar.  But when he is carrying a foodbowl an not sure which room I'm in, he just calls my name and I let him know.

It used ta bother me ta be touched when I ate, but I like that now.  It is comforting ta know he is there and watching over me.  The other Mews dont like that so much, but maybe they will at my age.  Well, OK, ya can't beat Marley off a foodbowl with a small stick (and TBT would never try).  But Marley loves his food more than any other Mew I've known.

Speaking of food, Marley and I eat anything we are given.  We just like all foods.  Laz is fussier.  Sometimes he demands kibble-sprinkles on his.  Lori is following his bad example.  If Laz gets a few kibbles, she demands some too.  KITTENS!  Well, at least when they start eating, they clean their bowls...

Caturday Saturday

LAZ:   TBT pushed me off the deck rail today!  I was rollin on a doormat draped over it and he just PUSHED ME!

TBT:  I did NOT!  You just rolled off the edge...

LAZ:  But you were RIGHT THERE.  You must have had something ta do with it.

TBT:  I opened the deck door to tell you it was dinnertime.  You were so happy, you just rolled off...

LAZ:  It was 12' down!

TBT:  Not my fault Dude!  You rolled over on your own.  Maybe I shouldn't have left the door mats draped over the deck rail though.  I know you like to roll around on them.

LAZ:  SEE everybody?  He admits it was HIS fault!

TBT:  C'mon Dude, I didn't even laugh.  And I gave you treats and some Nip and then tuna when you came in.

LAZ:  Bribery to sooth your guilty conchus conciensus, mind!

TBT:  Would you rather I had given you broccoli for dinner?  Or I could leave the deck door closed all day tomorrow...

LAZ:  OK, OK, I'll "claim" I rolled over on my own.  Happy?

TBT:  No, I was quite worried watching you fall.  I even (unsuccessfully) grabbed at the doormat you clawed at and dragged down with you as you slipped over.

LAZ:  Really?  

TBT:  Yes "really".  

LAZ:  Well...  OK.  But why dint ya take a picture?  And a video would have been better.

TBT:  Laz, It was too sudden.  I don't take pictures just by "looking", ya know.  I need a camera gadget. But I have the picture in my mind.

LAZ:  Sometimes Im not too sure about that!

TBT:  Trust me.  I still remember when LC rolled off the deck once, and I didn't have the camera then either.  And that was a LONG time ago.  I remember things without having camera pictures.

LAZ:  LC did that too?

TBT:  Yeah, but not as far.  She was asleep on the deck and forgot she was at the edge.  Fell right off!  But she only fell 8'.  You set a record here!

LAZ:  And you remember that.  Why dont I?

TBT:  It was way before you were born.  In fact, it was before Ayla was born, I think.  I'd have to look at ancient pictures, 15 years maybe.  But yeah, we Beins remember things without camera pictures.

LAZ:  Wow, I don't remember last year very well.

TBT:  Well, since you mention it, your Gotcha Day is coming up soon.  I will throw a special GOTCHA LAZ DAY PARTY just for you.

LAZ:  I saw Marley and Ayla had one a few Moons ago.  I didn't know I would.  I know I've done a few bad things...

TBT:  You and me (and US) buddy...  Mark And The Mews...

LAZ:  (Whew) OK.  Could ya at least put up ONE picture though?

TBT:  Here you go, Laz.  You and Me...

Flashback Friday

MARLEY:  It was today in 2011.  I was still very new (see how small I was?) but even then I was settling in between Ayla and Iza ta keep things peaceable!

I even took the top cat tree platform so I could watch over the Sisfurs...

I kept good watch.

And if a Sisfur started a bit of a hissy, I reached out ta say "Be Nice, We Are Family"!

And I allus watched ta make sure TBT knew I was doing my job being a good Brofur.  I was too young ta be a Mancat then, but I was trying...

And when a Sisfur wanted ta complain about the other, I sat there and listened.  Sometimes just listening helps.  Neither of them had a boycat to meow to about the other until I arrived.

Ayla already liked me, but when Iza decided I was OK, I knew it would be good here.

Mancat Monday

MARLEY:  Well, as I promised Ayla yesserday, I found a chance to talk to Iza about her annoyin Ayla just cuz she is smaller.

Iza was watchin an ant on the floor, so I sat down beside her and commented on it.  I can sit with both Ayla and Iza just fine an there are no problems.

Iza respects strength, and at the same weight, I AM stronger than she is.  I only had to prove it twice.  We look about the same, but she is a bit of a fatty (no disrepect meant, that is just HER) an I am typically more muslcy.  So she doesn't get at MY food, ya know?

So I brought up the subject of Ayla.  Iza looked away a bit, so I knew she  was a little embarassed.  I asked her to stop bullying Ayla.  She looked at me in surprise, but I assured her I dint intend to bully HER.  Just that TBT had talked to me about "training" and I was sure she wouldn't really like THAT (nor would TBT), but it MIGHT have to happen if she didnt let up on Ayla.

I did talk to Iza a while about it not bein fair to chase an annoy Ayla just cuz she is smaller than we are.  Some of that may have gotten through.  We'll see.
