A Treat Becomes Food

LC: Big Brother doesn't realize it yet, but our dry crunchies are about to get upgraded. We have been getting a brand that I thought was just fine. I enjoy eating it even if Skeeter doesnt seem to much anymore.

But The Big Thing brought home a little packet from the Vet (of all places to find something good)! I don't care for any of the kitty-treats The Big Thing offers. But he opened this little packet and I came running as soon as I smelled it! He gave me one and I scarfed right down and asked for more.

I was actally embarrassed by how much I wanted it! I even mewled (hangs head in shame). He doles them out by ones and twos when I come inside when called. Well, I was sniffing around the cave today, and I discovered he has bought a whole real bag of the stuff. He is keeping it in a room we can't go in (for visitors only), but I can smell it under the door!

I think he is waiting for us to eat up the old regular stuff, so I'm eating up the old dry crunchies as fast as I can. Ive seen on other kitty-sites that there are presents being given around now, so I hope that new stuff is mine.

If I can get that new stuff as regular dry crunchies, I may even crawl up on his lap! (But I still want the kitty-towers he promised to build).

Wet Good Smelly Food

Skeeter: LC and I usually split a can of wet good smelly food each dinnertime. But we have been getting a 1/2 can most mornings lately. That pleased us greatly, but we didnt know why we were getting it. The Big Thing says he has been giving us some extra because I have been losing a little weight the past couple of years. He thinks the dry crunchies don't smell as good to me anymore.

Well, DUH! I've told him that many times. I'll eat some when I'm really hungry, but it's like eating a tofu-turkeybird. I'm always hungry these days. Why does he thing I talk to him while he is preparing his own good smelly food all the time? And go out and catch mice and grab the ones he catches in the cave? And beg for treats? "I'm hungry, stupid"!

It's a shame The Big Things don't have well-developed brains like I do.
Anyway, it seems he kept watching the dry crunchies disappear, and assumed I was getting all I wanted. Like I wanted stuff? So, I'm getting some extra canned stuff. I'm happy... I still want more of The Big Thing's food and more treats, though!
