Flashback Friday

For Flashback Friday this week, we return to this week in 2009.  We usually look at several different same week different years, but as soon as we saw Iza lounging on the Hummingbird throw, we decided ta go wif that immediately.  

We all love Hummingbirds here; so fast and mysterious, noisy and blurry; uncatchable...  And Iza fit with the bright colors and tan background.  Not that she didnt look great on bloo, too, but the throw allus seemed purrfect for her.

And she loved the Squiggles.  The green one is here, but she liked the pink and the purple ones too.  She  would grab them by the head and carry them around... 

Caturday Saturday

AYLA:  We are having lots of computer problems right now, but we INSISTED TBT at least help us get a few posted for the next few days so you won't just all forget us.  But he is so busy, we hope none are duplicartes.  Ya never know without checking, ya know?

This is me sleepin on a sheet in a (fergive me) "doggie bed".  TBT bought it when we we sometimes nappin together and we seldom used it.

But I suddenly took a liking to it the other day. 

Dark blue is the best color for my furs, but dark red is very good too.  As you can see I even brought over a matching color squiggle.  Beloved old toys are the best and we have lots of them from friends.

Freaky Grrrrlcat Friday

MARLEY:  Well, Ayla is still stayin up high out of Iza's reach (probly a good idea after the poem trick she played).

I am basically NOT GETTING INVOLVED.  I know when to get out of the way of THOSE two.  Meezers Jeezers!

But I have my fun.  That rainbow squiggle is GREAT!

And its QUIET, which is a good thing right now..  I'll just lay low and stick near TBT.  Nothin bad happens near HIM!

Squiggle Shoe Wars

THE BIG THING:  Well, last night was apparently shoe wars part 2,  The Squiggle War!

I suppose I should be getting used to it.  At least their claws don't get through my shoes.

It always occurs when I am TRYING to eat dinner ( a GOOD one, BTW)!

 

I didn't put the green squiggle there, and I don't know who did.  I suspect it was Iza, because she does carry them around and deposit them on my shoes.  But Marley has shown an interest in them too and he LOVES to carry toys around.  

Marley is more aggressive about toys on my feet.  Maybe they smell good to him.   My shoes, I mean.

 But Iza does love the squiggles, so I can't be too sure.

Marley is winning here..  But Iza carried it off at the end.  In fact, I found it on the bed next to her when I crawled under the blankets.  I think she was just humoring Marley's idea of possession.

Bag Fun, Part 3

AYLA:  Yeah, its a couple weeks old.  But I dint wanna just lose it after doing parts 1 and 2.  I thought the series hadda be completed, ya know?  So here is Part 3...  More Marley pics next time...

I had my squiggle unner control, but then I sensed a dark force outside the bag!

I was NOT prepared and got pounced.  Well, technically, the BAG got pounced, but we all know why.

Im in there...  I got CRUNCHED.  And Iza took the squiggle away too.  I will get even wif her fer THAT!  It MAY be time to launch a fall-down attack from the top of the kitty tree.  Harsh, but justified!  Iza is forgetting her place and forcin stuff with her size...

Hugo Visits, Part 2

IZA:  Well, Hugo spent a few hours unner the blankies last night, a few ON the blankies,  an a few hours on the carpet by the bed.  He said he slept well.

Today we started ta get ta know each other better.  Hugo showed us the toys he brought and explained each one.

He said the yellow thing is a Nip Banana.  We had heard of those before, but never seen one.  It seems great!  The Pink/Purple/Bloo thing is a Kong Squiggle.    It looks greatly battable.  The little thing is a catnip fish. He says we should bat it around and specially play with the tails.  That all made sense ta us.

 I listened very closely.  Ayla was bein shy, so I will hafta splain it ta her later.

Hugo asked which one I wanned to play with first..  I pointed ta the Kong Squiggle!  He jotted that down in his notes.

The next few minutes were WAY too active to get pictures of...  Hugo enjoyed watchin me bat the Kong Squiggle around, so I really showed off my best moves.

Bag Fun, Part 2

Ayla:  Here I am enjoyin my little cave.  But I hafta watch out fer Iza.

I looked right...

 I looked left...

Safe!  Then a squiggle dropped from the sky...

I played with it a bit...

 But I finally batted it out.  Should I go get it, I wondered...

I decided to s-t-r-e-t-c-h my claws way out... 

And retreived it!

An Awardie!

We are so happy ta get this new awardie from our good friend Herman!  Thank you very very much... It is a great awardie!

We saw this one bein passed around and loved it.  Now we finally get to reply about things about us and pass it ta others.  Yay!

IZA:

1.  I love beating/pushing the bubbler water bowl around.
2.  Tossed squiggles are the BEST things ever.  I will chase them into annywhere.  I ended up in the dryer once.  (It wasn't turned on)
3.  Rattley mice are next best.  I bat those things around all night an day.
4.  I can sleep unner the blankies ALL night.
5.  I love following The Big Thing around the yard.  Especially cool is hidin in the plants and pouncing his shoes when he isnt lookin.

AYLA:

6.  Lickin the foodbowls so clean they dont have ta be washed (they get washed annyway).
7.  Chasin pompom fluff balls is SO great.
8.  The higher I get, the happier I am.
9.  Iza cant climb at all an I love that.  All heights belong ta ME!

Now we sposed ta give it ta 9 other blogger kitties.  That's too many fer us.  We're gonna do 5.  We searched careful ta see who we wanted ta give it to what dint already have it.  Some blogs dont show awards, so we hadda make some guesses.
