AYLA and IZA: We are postin our BEST pictures first, then adding the runner-ups (TBT did the voting because we were gettin all fussed about choosin, and Marley can be a bit of a prankster). But we are turning it over to TBT now...
TBT: First, let me say that Ayla is a modern wedgehead chocolate point meezer. Iza may be a bluepoint traditional (applehead) meezer, or she may be a Tonkinese of the meezer colors. I tend toward the Tonkinese idea (heavy muscular body, stubby tail, lighter voice, puppy-like attachment, ears set more sideways on head, less agile), but she does have meezer papers. If she isn't a true meezer, she is certainly an honorary and related one.
BEST OF BOTH OF THEM TOGETHER:
Getting a picture of both of them looking toward me is nearly impossible! This is the best I've got. Their faces really show their colorpoint differences.
BEST OF AYLA:
As close to a glamor shot as I can find today. She seldom will look directly at the camera. Its also the closest to Frootbat ears I have of her. She seems to be staring (mildly) cross-eyed past me.
BEST OF IZA:
Pure Iza, lying on her back with feet against a wall. It shows off her warm tummy colors. Plus face, paws, and tail.
OTHERS OF AYLA:
A typical pose in deep chocolate points, tail wrapped around front paws.
Since Ayla is normally curled up, this one shows her individual dark points all over.
OTHERS OF IZA:
We have no idea why her tail appears so dark here. Some trick of lighting...
As you can see her tail matches her generally blue-point colors.
OTHERS OF BOTH:
One of the few to show both their faces close together...
A good one that shows both their tawny flanks; a color area that is often overlooked or shadowed.
HAPPY MEEZER COLORS DAY 2011 TO YOU ALL!
