 AYLA:  I've been wandering the house more lately.  And I've been enjoying TBT at the computer desk.

I kinna forgot how much attention he gives sometimes.  I loved it!

Mancat Monday

 TBT:  Sometimes the best things happen when you don't expect it.  And yeah, no pics of the event.

Just a few minutes ago, I walked into the bedroom and Laz did his "I want some attention flop" on the bed.  Usually this means a minute of scritchies and then he runs away because he still isn't really used to attention.    But this time I got my fingers under his chin.  He likes that, but he still isn't feeling completely safe with anyone's fingers at his neck.

But this time, he stayed flopped while I rubbed his jaw, under his chin, and around his ears,  He stayed put for almost 10 minutes.  He even purred.  And a Laz-purr is rare!

He loves Lori.  He likes Marley.  He is cautious around me.  He still wants to annoy Ayla, but it is not bad like it was at first. Sometimes, I think Ayla has the longer memory and hisses first...

But he settled on the bed and accepted a lot of gentle scritchies for longer than I can recall.  Some days are better than others for him but this was a good time.  

I suppose that someday, I will even forget his bad days because he will fully adjust to "peace" and who knows what I will remember about his first years in 10 years.  That's partly why I write.  It is my memory in print..

But this was a really good thing to save to remember.

MARLEY:  Yeah it is me again, but Laz is in the picture too, so that counts two!

 

I was getting scritchies.  Laz was grooming his furs on the floor.  I dint need that since TBT had just brushed and combed me.  I enjoy that.  Laz doesnt.  He doesnt know what he is missing.

I had just finished pawing a post and TBT was turning it into better werds and stuff.  I mean, I type and all, but I dont unnerstand commas and stuff an some werds are tricky ta spell.  He fixes it "just enough".  He says we "have our voice" and he doesnt mess wit it too much.

That paper on the side is where he keeps track of our pictures.  I dont unnerstand THAT part at all.  But I gather that he lists the pic numbers, who is involved, and what what happenned in the pics there.  I'm glad HE does cuz I cant.

MARLEY:   This is MY EASY...

I love the security.

The scritchies are wonderous.

TBT:  The sad news is that we can't control how things appear on the screen with the New Blogger.  Some pics appear left or right of where we want, some text appears below the pics.  Labels don't show a space in between.  We can't find the scheduler.  We might learn how it it all works eventually, but for right now, it sucks... 

When did "working just fine" become a reason to change everything?

Marley:  Some evenings I just want to curl up on TBTs lap and nap.  Other nights, I want more serious attention.  This was one of THOSE nights. 

I heard a song on the magic music box that expressed it.  "He's got magic hands"...

I used to actually pass out sometimes from it when I was a kitten.  I'm a bit more used to used to it now, but the pleasure never goes away.

He knows JUST where to work his weerd clawless fingers...

Ayla, Iza, and I have discussed it.  We have tried to do the same for each other, but it doesn't seem to work.  I mean, we all enjoy being groomed by each other and doing it, but it isnt QUITE the same.

But who cares so long as he does it, right?   He even carefully rubbed off some mousie-bite scabs around my lips (some mousies object to being properly caught and get fierce - its like they dont unnerstand their purpose in life)!  Oh that felt good...

OK, here's a question for all.  Which is best to you about the Beins?  The Lap, The Scritchie-Fingers, or the Opposable Thumb?

IZA:  Scritchies make me want to groom!

 But I cant quite reach his hand to return the favor...

So I'll do my own furs.

And hork the furs on the floor later...

He seems to like that.  I mean, he allus picks it up in a tissue and puts it in the compost bucket with some of his favrit kitchen stuff.  So Im helping...
