TAZ:   I sure enjoy The Lap!  

Sure, Marley and Lori get plenty of time there, but I have kinna taken it over mostly.  

I really know how ta stretch out on TBT.

But I have learned that, iffen I stretch out between his legs, I start to fall through.  So I have to remember ta sit more cross-wise.

 LORI:  Well, if Marley and Taz are going to post about The Lap, I will too...  I love being there.  Safe, comfy, warm.

No, those aren't mishapened toes.  But neither he nor I can figure out what those are either.

TAZ:   Marley mentioned The Lap yesserday.  Well, I sure love it too.  I don't remember having one before I came here (and I wasn't sure about it at first).

I like ta just put my forehead against the chair arm.

It kinna settles me in place, ya know?

An even when TBT has ta move those long legs he has, it doesnt disturb me much.  

Ya learn all the really good ways ta sit after some years!

Lori:  Some good Laptime.  TBT hasn't been sitting in the TV chair a lot lately, so I jumped right up when he did.

And I did a selfie.  But my large bootiful eyes dont show up all that well in this one...

But mebbe that adds an air of mystery.

Flashback Friday

This week we go to this seek 2013...

TBT bought a new computer chair.

 And Marley immediately claimed it!

Iza still preferred The Lap...

MARLEY:  I'm a lucky cat!

I was in the Shelter when some Beins got me out as a gift to a friend.  I was her first cat, but it turned out she was allergic to cats.  So she put out an adoption notice and I ended up here where TBT is slightly sneezy around us but doesn't care.

14 years later, and I am as happy as a clam at high tide!  Love, attention, good food, warmth, a big back yard (full of mousies and surrounded by a fence to keep big doggies out).  And The Lap...  Thank you, Bast for providing me such a good Lap!

And such good  cat companions too.  Ayla and Iza were kind to me when I arrived.  Later there was Laz, and troubled as he was, we got along fine.  Lori and I got along great, too.  And while Lori doesnt like Taz or Binq, I do and we get along fine as well.

Life is good...

TAZ:  We are just both just sitting around the TV chair waiting fer TBT ta come sit down in it. 

I want The Lap.  Binq wants the skritchies she gets while sitting on the side of the chair.

Happy International Friendship Day to all our friends...

Easy Like Sunday

TBT:  The Mews are all taking it Easy today.  

Loki likes the lowest platform.  Maybe because of the towel.

Marley likes the cave.  You can't see him well because the flash doesn't penetrate.  But I wanted to show it being enjoyed.  It goes back a long way (about early 90s).  I think Skeeter was the first to sit in/on it.  But he got too big for it.  But one day I noticed it matched the 3-platform tree I built and it fit perfectly between 2 of the posts.  

So I knocked out the middle and bottoms and laid it down on its side with the openings up.  Every cat since has enjoyed napping in it.  And there have been many cat-games played in it too.  One inside and one outside feeling up or down through the openings to tap at the other.

Marley and Loki came in for dinner while Lori and Binq decided to nap on the deck.  They like eating together.  Neither tries to steal the other's bowl.

And later, they both shared The Lap!  They are the only 2 who can really do that.  Lori does not share well, and Binq is still not ready for true laptime (she likes the left arm of the chair).

Lori and Binq came in later.  After their own meal, Lori decided the back of the chair was safest. 

Binq likes the ottoman when I and the TV chair seem too occupied.

I love to see Lori happy on the back of the chair...

And at peace on The Lap by herself.

She just passes right out on The Lap.  So at peace and calm...  She is like one cat when awake and a different cat when napping.
