Tuesday Hunting

AYLA:   I hit the jackpot yessesrday.  The wild Jackrabbit pot that is.

An I ATE it.  Well most.  Marley ate the rest,  nothing went to waste.  TBT kinna insists on that.  He days "we catch it we eat it". 

Sorry we are late.  TBT sold a couple weerd things and spent more time waiting than he liked. 

But wait til Laz smells MY butt later tonight!  He is gonna be very innerested...  I'm kinna coming to like him.  We run around the house.  And HE can jump too!

Hut Stay

MARLEY:  I din't mention this before, but I skinned my jaw bottom a couple weeks ago.  I felt kinna stupid about that and werked hard not ta let Dad know.

But ya can't hide things from Dad fer long.  I mean, he KNOWS I love chin scritchies and when I jumped at the touch, he made me show him.  He did some quick research and it said the stuff he uses on his own ouchies was OK fer cats.  So he smeared me up.  Bast, ya can't lick yer jaw bottom very well...

So that's why I was hiding in the barn.  I spent most of 3 days there (well I did eat) and that ointment stuff worked really good.  Even all my fur is back now.

So when I went to Dad, I ASKED for chin scritchie.  All is well.  I'm not telling him WHAT I did that caused it, but I'll sure try not ta do that again.  And I WONT blame that rabbit with the nasty teef...  I'd fight too.

MMM-MMM Meal

IZA:  TBT cooked my rabbit for me yesserday!  He said he had to "clean it up" first, so maybe I should go outside and collect some NIP leaves ta go with it.  That sounded like a great idea!

When I got back in, he already had it cut up and in the stew pot.  I couldnt hold the NIP leafs without eating them though.  But he said he had some dried ones and I watched as he added some.

I watched the pot from down on the floor, but it was boring.  So he suggested I go take a nap.  Which sounded great!

After about an hour, I came back in the kitchen and TBT was already cutting off the meat for me.  After it cooled, he gave some pieces to each of us.

I was a bit surprised though.  I dint know a cooked rabbit would taste so much like chicken.  Well, it was still great and I made sure to remind Marley and Ayla that *I* had caught our meal.  They were properly impressed...

Easy Like Sunday

We normally get five 5.5 ounce cans of food per day.  It keeps us right at the weights we feel best at (Marley 12.5 pounds, Iza 10 pounds, Ayla 6 pounds).  But sometimes we get real active outside and want a little more.  So when TBT set out some new Rabbit food, we got greedy.

We competed for "last licks".

Ayla, had her own bowl in the bedroom as usual.

Dont worry, as soon as TBT saw that, he set out more (of a differnt flavor - we never get the same twice a day).

Oh, we should explain that.  TBT thinks (and we agree) that variety is good.  So we normally have the 5 cans and they are chicken, tuna, veal, turkey, and beef.  Rabbit would be a good regular addition. 

We still complain that no one seems to offer "mouse" or "sparrow".  TBT says we can catch our own mousies (and do) and that sparrows are hard to raise in cans.  OK...
