IZA: Oh wow, I had a bad sleep!  I thought I was being chased by Vishus Deer!  TBT said my paws were all a twitching, too!

 I kept moving around trying to get away.

 I reached to grab annything.

But TBT tapped me an I woke up.  I hadda look around fer a bit before I was sure it wasnt really happening. As ya can see, I wasn't feeling quite awake and sure of where I was.

TBT said he saw my paws "a' twitching like mad mice on a hot parking lot", so he stopped me.  Well, a good thing I guess.  But iffen I had been catchin mousies, I would have been upset.

But he convinced me the Vishus Deer were all safely outside, so I went back to nappin...  And no twitchin...

And just after that, he went to bed and I follwed quick.  No sense in takin chances.  I'm allus safe around HIM.  Oddly, Marley, and Ayla followed us to the bedroom.  Maybe they were havin bad dreams too but not where TBT saw them at it like he did me.

I think we will all stay close around him all night...

Ya never know about those Vishus Deer.

Catching Up

MARLEY:  We are tryin ta catch up with our pictures of the snow.  Yesserday, we all went chargin out on the deck together.  It was almost 70F!

Like a bat out of hell...
Some skwerl gets in our way,
Some skwerl dont feel so well!"

But there werent anny skwerls around!  We were disappointed.

So we each went our separate ways looking fer annything innerestin.

For "today" we have a picture from the front yard (where we cant go, but TBT can).  We were amazed when we saw the pictures though.

The Vishus Deer have returned!  TBT hadnt seen any hoofprints in our snow until yesterday.  This is what one looks like...

Apparently there were actally SEVERAL.In fact, there was a whole FLOCK HERD!  They were eating our shrubs.  

And the prints went right up to the fence.  They were tryin ta get IN!

Freaky Friday

AYLA:  No sooner had TBT leveled off the new front lawn than The Vishus Deer invaded.

I am sure they were looking for places to set traps or hide in ambush!

I have PROOF!  See their sharpened hoofprints?

Fortunately, they dint realize that TBT had watered the new soil ta soften it.  He may have done that JUST to know that they were sneaking in at night (when all good kitties an Beins are sleeping), but he isn't admitting ta that.

Vishus Deer

IZA: With all the ecitement about Aylas bird, and the snow melting, I havent had a chancce to tell MY big story this week.  OUR HOUSE IS BEIN WATCHED BY VISHUS DEER!  Its true.  I spent a whole hour watchin them carefully through a window.

Here ya can see them sharpening their teeth on the grass in the neighbors yard.  An ya see the little one there starin at me?  He's probly the brains of the gang.

They were busy eatin acorns and stuff too.  I think maybe thats how they power their firey breath.

 See, there's that little one givin me the Evil Eye again.  He KNOWS I'm watchin.

They try ta act so innocent, but I'm on to them.

And its worse than it sounds.  TBT said he found their hoofprints in the snow around the front of the house.  Even right up TO the house where the shrubs are.  THEY ARE TRYIN TA FIND A WAY IN!

I talked ta Ayla and Marley and we have all been keepin our claws extra sharp.  We are ready for them iffen they try ta get at us.  

Vishus Deer Attack!

We saw a Vishus Deer in the front yard last night!  TBT had just glanced out the window and turned away when the motion detector lights came on.  There was a Vishus Deer standing right there lookin up into the window at us!  Ooh, they are bold...

TBT tried ta get a picture of it, but all that came out was its laser-eyes.  We ducked so it couldnt hurt us, but TBT just stood right there.  Vishus Deer dont worry TBT.

Ecept that he discovered this morning that it got mad at us and ate the leafs off the front row of our bootiful hostas!  We are all very upset. 

This picture shows the BIG CHOMP a Vishus Deer can take.  Granted, that was a plant, but we know it left that ta warn us off how it can bite!

We suggested putting out the Have-A-Hart trap, but he said it wouldnt fit in there.  He is gonna set up the game camera.  First, ta get a better picture iffenit comes back (which after finding the tastey hostas, probably will), and second, hoping the sudden flashy-light might scare it away.

Failing that, he will put bird netting over the hostas.  That ought to stop it from biting the leafs off.  Purrsonally, WE hope it EATS the net an chokes!!!  Cuz we sure dont want it stealthively staring at us at night.

AYLA: hadda a great day. I played wif EFRYTHING!

Here I am playin wif da milk ring. Its jus somethin comes offa The Big Thing's milk bottle, but I love it (an I get some milk too, which I like). But the plastic thingie skittles across the floor real good an I love chasin it an carryin it aroun. See how my tail is all poofed? It is normally FERY skinny!




I chased the rattely mouse alla round inna house and finally cornered it nexta the cube tent.












Then I went back ta the plastic ring. I beat it ALL OFER EFRYWHERE!!! That was SO GREAT!

I got ta go outside after that cause The Big Thing went out. I was tired so I just sat on the deck.

But while we were all just laying aroun real quiet, the vishus deer came along the fence! Wow! I went runnin off to watch it through the fence. It was safe cause of the fence, but I got a good look at it an sniffed it good, jus a few feet away. LC came an joined me too. We couldnt get a pikture of that cause the deers move too fast an unexpected an it doesn't like The Big Thing gettin near wif the camera.

Oh Mousies! That deer is WAY BIG! I was glad ta be safe wif da fence...

The Big Thing says if those Vishus Deer is gonna keep comin along the same place he is gonna get a picture somehow. He says he has a PLAN!

I puffed up like a porky pine thing! Not jus my tail this time, I got my whole furs up!!! First time fer THAT! But that vishus deer was only a few feet away. It was BIG!

I efen jumped up onna top of the fence to watch it. I wasn't scairt; I gots sharp claws and teef! Nex time it comes by, I am gonna jump onit from the fence an BITE it!
