The Mews were happy to get out...
TBT: Loki has a peeing issue. Sometimes, he thinks the bed is the perfect place. He never poops there, just pees.
I resorted to a plastic tarp covered with an old sheet (so I could see a wet spot easily but not have to launder everything below the tarp). And I found a long 4' wide cardboard tube in the garage that allowed me to roll and unroll both up and down easily. Worked fine, but it went I couldn't leave the bedroom door open at night (the tarp was too annoying to sleep under).
So I bought a waterproof sheet to put on the top at night. It didn't say it was "fitted" and since I have a waterbed (king size), "fitted" doesn't work. So I returned it.
Last week, I found a flat waterproof sheet. I was annoyed it only came in charcoal gray, which doesn't fit the burgundy walls and wood furniture. So I covered it with the old red sheet again. It doesn't look "too bad" and it isn't like I have other people inspecting my bedroom, so "who cares".
But it is light enough to sleep under and I can let The Mews into the room again. Now we just need to find out if Loki decides to stop peeing on the bed.
As part of a possible solution, I set up a litter box in the bedroom shower stall (which I don't actually use myself. It gets used, and maybe that would have been a solution by itself. But 2 solutions are better than one.
And, for all I know, Loki simply has decided to stop peeing on the bed on his own. Still, some insurance is good! So I am thankful to have found a king-size flat waterproof sheet.
I would post a picture, but Amazon seems to prevent copying images.
And Binq on the chair arm!
Wee don't really know much about it, but apparently there was a terrible fight way before our time. Even TBT, ancient as he is, wasn't quite a kit when it happened. But he had older guys in his family who did. So we offer our cat-thoughts to them...
And with credits to ConsciousCat...
TBT: It occurred to me today that I don't really remember who created the "Easy Like Sunday" theme, but I sure appreciate it. Actually, I suspect that most of us have added some little phrase to the Cat Blogosphere, but I love "Easy Like Sunday" especially. It starts my week!
So, oddly, I want to show some "not purrfect" pics. "Easy Like Sunday" seems to allow "Easy"...
The boys were getting along so well, I just couldn't delete the blurry pics...
And this week in 2014...
Iza was actually sitting calmly in the PTU and Marley was sitting a cat tree base.
Ayla was of course above it all on a favorite mat.
I am always thankful to see cats at rest. There is such a calmness about them.
Loki and Binq get along so well.
MARLEY: OK, we are both a bit fuzzy. The camera decided ta focus between us an got neither quite right. But it is one of our favorite places. Me above (nappin) and TBT smiling at me from below. I saw that. It makes me happy ta know he is lookin at me.
When he is happy, I am too. And when I am happy, so is he. Can't get better than that.
LOKI: I love the new movable chair TBT bought! It has wheels and is almost in a new place evry few hours.
TBT: Today I am thankful for moths. Yes, moths. Specifically the ones who settle a a few feet up on the outside of the deck door! Binq goes crazy after them lately and I am thankful they make her happy.
She jumps several feet up trying to get at them, not understanding they are on the outside of the door. And she keeps trying to get them (about 15 minutes at a time and over several days so far).
Not great pictures... It is black outside, Binq is black, and the moths are too small to be seen. But with some better light in your imagination, you can see what she is seeing...
I'm not sure what they are seeing out there. We used to have an occasional possum and sometimes an intruder cat, but I haven't seen them on the deck in a few years. Wildlife seems to be disappearing. I think I will post about that on my own blog soon.
But for now, whatever makes Binq and Loki feel like friends, Marley tolerant of everybody, and Lori very gradually calming down, I am thankful.
