It's a little fuzzy cause I was shaking the mousie. It wasn't dead an it didn't want me to eat it. Isn't that what they're for?
I was worried I wouldn't get another house-mouse. The rule is that if we hear the snap and The Big Thing gets it right away, we can have it. If it is all dead and all dark old, we can't. But when that happens, he gives us some wet good stuff, so that's OK. LC and I heard the snap the dark before, but The Big Thing wouldn't get up even when we both ran in to the sleepy room and woke him up and told him there was a mousie caught. He was just too sleepy to understand us then. We might as well been talking to the mouse!
At least he checked the traps when he got up, so we got some treats when he threw it away. We think he should only have the traps set when he is there to hear it! But he doesn't seem to understand how important the mousies are to us...
