VET!

MARLEY:  Iza and I went to the vet today, GRRR.  TBT caught me off guard.  He lured me into his litter room and SHUT THE DOOR!  When he opened it, I tried to run but he grabbed me (wearing leather gloves) and shoved me into the PTU that he had put RIGHT THERE at the door.

I got squeezed and stabbed at the Vet but it wasnt too bad.

Iza had it worse.   She are been having the sickies since the visit last week.  Turned up her nose at some foods and couldnt keep down what she DID eat.  She lost 8 oz in a week!  The Vet Lady says she might have that annoyed bowel thing.  So she got 3 shots.  One fer helping keep her food in, one fer nausea, and a B-12.  And she got her ears cleaned too because of the grease TBT rubs in them. 

Thyroid, blood pressure, kidneys, and now her tummy...

Send Iza some purrs. 

Thankful Thursday

IZA: Well, first, I gotta say that a WHOLE DAY AND NIGHT without eating was really harsh fer me.  Oh, Ayla probly wouldnt mind much; she only eats as much as she HAS to.  But eating is a major part of my life.

I spent a lot of time evening yesserday sittin in the box. 

There wasnt much else ta do.  I wasnt feelin too friendly toward TBT since he wouldnt give me anny food (I mean, he wouldnt even let me lick his plate, an it was STEAK juice)!

I even roared in frustration a few times.

 Stared at TBT a few times.  But he is pretty hard ta guilt...

 Hid from the world, an tried ta ignore my rumbly tummy...

I couldnt wait fer the day ta end!

So I slept all night and was thrilled when TBT got up EARLY!  Except he was up fer a repairperson (our heat pump is actin funny) and didnt want ta feed me when we were all stressed by a stranger being in the house.  But the stranger was only here an hour.

FINALLY...  FOOD!!!  Hurray, Joy, Happiness.  Wait, 1 spoonful???  He said he wanted to get me started slow.  Well, I got 1 spoonful every hour since.  It adds up...  He has me on minced chicken and apparently it is going to be minced chicken and minced turkey fer me fer a while.  He says he is checking ta see iffen the fishie stuff was bothering me and if the cubed stuff was too.

Thats OK, I like chicken and turkey, and since I dont chew annything annyway, I dont care iffen its is all minced.  As long as it is FOOD!

Thank you all fer purrin for me.  I KNOW that helped me get through the foodless day and night.  And so far, Im keeping evrything down.

Worrisome Wensday

IZA:  Im not feelin good today...

In fact, Ive been losing my meals fer 2 days and lost 1.5 pounds since last week!  So Im goin ta the VET this afternoon (2 EST).

TBT thinks I might have a toof infecshun that is makin my tummy sick, or I have a blockage in my tummy.  He says when LC suddenly started losin her meals years ago, she finally horked up a little pom-pom toy.

So he says the VET will look in my mouth and then look inside my tummy.  I sure hope he finds somethin ta fix!  Im really tired from all the tummy troubles...

UPDATE:   Well, I just got home.  The vet couldnt find the problem.  He looked in my mouth an said my teef and gums were normal (apparently TBT just wasnt used ta seeing my gums up close).  The vet also took a picture right through me and said it looked like I had pockets of air in my tummy, but that there was food in my intestines, so he didnt think I had a blockage in my tummy.  So he gave me a anty-biotic shot in case I have a sickie, and he gave me a shot that should settle my tummy down today.

If that doesnt help, I hafta go back Friday fer some more tests.  Mainly ta fill my tummy with thick berry-um that makes fer a better picture.  I dont know WHAT happens after that.

HOWEVER, I CANT HAVE ANNY FOOD OR WATER TIL TOMORROW!  I cant believe it, no food all day, and I hardly kept anny down yesserday either.  I'll STARVE!!!  An I can only have a spoonful evry few hours tomorrow.
