Food Recall

We happened upon this from the Lee County Clowder blog http://leecountyclowder.blogspot.com/, and thought we should do our part to pass it along...

We were lucky we werent eatin the bad stuff. Some kitties and woofies werent so lucky.

The candle is for them and the ones who miss them...

Crushed Meat and a Raccoon!

Skeeter: Well, we had an innerestin time this light!!!

First, The Big Thing went outside today (reluctantly) to check the Have-A-Hart traps he set out for the thing that has been eatin his veggies. He saw something in one an expected it to be a groundhoggie. But it was a "raccoon". Me and LC followed him and saw the critter. I sniffed at it from a few feet away, but LC went right up to the cage. She's crazy sometimes!

Well, we had smelled it before, but had never seen the thing that made the smells. Know what I mean? So we gave it a good long look. It was bigger than us and has some claws an teeth, so we are a little glad we didn't bump into one of it unexpected. We were both glad it was inna cage.

Anyway, The Big Thing carried the cage to the big noisy machine and drove away with it. He says he found a place a long way away where it should be happy catchin frogs. He doesnt know if the raccoon was the thing eatin his plants, though. He still expects there is a groundhoggie.

We can smell that there are various critters that come into the yard at night, but we can't tell if one of them is what he calls a groundhoggie. I mean, we know differnt smells but we don't know the names of them unless we see the thing and sniff it at the same time AN The Big Thing tells us what he calls it.

The other cool thing was that we got some of that crushed cow for dinner! I loved it and just cleaned my bowl right out. LC sniffed at hers and kept lookin at me for guidance. She does that a lot. She checks to see if I am eatin stuff before she decides to eat it. Since I was eatin it real fast, she nibbled, but she didn't seem to like it any.

So I ate hers too! The Big Thing watched her not eatin, so he laffed an opened a can of fishie flavor food for her. We both ate that. LC just doesn't seem to like red meat. She is definitely a fish and fowl kitty. I'll eat almost anything.

The Big Thing assures me that he has lots more of that crushed cow stuff saved, and I'm lookin forward to that!

What a GREAT DAY! I went outside with The Big Thing, smelled and saw a raccoon, got to eat some crushed cow (and even LC's portion), got MORE dinner afterwards, and I know I will get to curl up on his lap later...
