2nd 10,000th Visitor Winner

Skeeter: OK, OK LC, stop head-buttin me. I'll announce it already. Geez....

1! Its a odd number.

Cheysuli...

Ya came so close! Gretchen wins 2nd prize. Two pouches of treats!

Oh Mouse-droppings! We were entirely breathless an hadda to go lay down on sometin soft fer a few laps! When The Big Thing saw the die wasnt bouncing anymore, we both held our breafs for a few seconds while he put on his glases an bent down to see it.

We sure haven't had THAT kinna excitment is a few Big Moons!

Gretchen, ya gotta tell us where to send it. See the suggestions in the previous post to Chen an Ollie about how to send us. Or jus tell us if you arent worried.

We loved the suspense; MOL!

10,000th Visitor!!!!!!!

We don't know who it was, but that wasn't the contest... It was guessin the right day or closest full day.

The 10,000th visitor came to our bloggie at 7:39 PM EDT. We happened to notice 9,997, so we watched it carefully for a while. We are surprised at so many posts the past week, but maybe we should have expected that. For the record, our guess (a few weeks ago) was November 12th. MOL!

The only 10/29 guess was Chen&Ollie, so they win the tent an 2 pouches of treats. 2nd place is tied at Gretchin and Cheysuli. We haf decided to roll a single dice. Odd number an it is Gretchin. Even number an it is Cheysuli... That is absolutely out of our control and fair as we can figure it.

Hold on, we gotta go find a dice! Ah, a quality Backgammon die (we can trust that). The Big Thing spins the one die into the air...

It hits the hard wooden floor an bounces around... and bounces... and bounces

Its a...

We're holding of with the results fer a little bit... He, he... Oh the results are recorded an there's no changin it. It's all settled. But we want to have our fun with this. ;) Bwa-ha-ha

OUR MUTUAL GOTCHA DAY PARTY -

We mentioned the food an toys for our Nov 1st Gotcha Day Party. Today we wanna mention the sittin and loungin places, the nappin places, and the place for any nip-woozy kitties to rest a few laps. Places to sit an chat, or rest a bit, are imporant too! And, er, "facilities"...

There are comfy chairs to sit on...

And softy beds, both good fer sittin on an chattin.

The Big Thing will put a coupla folded blankie in the (dry) baftub for any woozy kitties to rest away from all the runnin aroun an noise...

We haf made sure there are lots of clean litterboxes. We "know a kitty" who deals in temporary use of them an we (well, The Big Thing - that's what he's here for) will scrub them out good before the party. We've got lotsa fresh scoopable litter stuff accumulated.

Note the privacy dividers between the litterboxes!

We've got some games to play, too, but thats for tomorrow's post...

Miss Peach Meme

Well, about eferyone has been tagged now with Adan/Michico’s Miss Peach Meme (opened to all by several kitties), so we thought we would try it.

Skeeter: The bestest things I do for The Big Thing are to sleep on his lap, sit an talk next to him when he is at the computer, sleep next to him at night, an sometimes earthworm unner the blankies when it looks like he is cold. I stay near him inna cave, an I stay very near him outside (to protekt him, of course). I wouldn’t be afraid to be outside on my own, all alone, no one near me, with woofies barkin and vishus deer maybe jus over the fence… So I stay real near to him to make sure he is safe.

An I try to lick the food bowls so clean he doesn’t hafta wash them…

LC: I like to stay close (but not too close) to The Big Thing to help him get exercise. I help him stretch out to reach me (an just barely to encourage more stretchin). I make sure he has to more around a bit to reach me. Ya know, like stayin onna floor so he bends over, sittin onna ottoman so he bends from his middle to reach me, laying just out of reach onna bed. That sort of stuff. I know he appreciates it a lot! I’d jus as soon sit onna him or right close, but he needs the exercise!

I also help him to get up an open the deck door A LOT so he keeps movin.

We both help this spreads some positive kitty-vibes to help Miss Peach get better an eat more.
