Billy Thorpe e The Aztecs foi uma banda australiana de pop e rock que se formou em meados dos anos 60 e que começou por ser o grupo de apoio para Billy Thorpe, em 1964.O grupo teve muito sucesso nessa altura, tendo terminado em 1967. Reemergiram no início dos anos 70 para se tornarem numa das bandas de hard rock mais populares da Austrália, da época, evoluindo para o blues-rock com Thorpe, Morgan Warren, e Matthews Gil entre os seus membros.

Johnny Noble veio de Newcastle NSW e teve um excelente início de carreira nos anos 60 com diversos grupos e também a solo. Gravou para a etiqueta Linda Lee, uma subsidiária da Festival, juntamente com outros grandes cantores como Billy Thorpe e os Aztecs e o "entertainer" Jackie Weaver. Johnny Noble foi vocalista de duas bandas nos anos 60, "Johnny Noble and the Mods “e “Johnny Noble and The Incas”.
