The Allusions and The Raiders - Two Albums Australian Beat Groups On One Disc (1965/1966, Australia).
The Allusions foi um grupo beat australiano formado no final de 1965 por Mike Morris, Terry Hearne, Dave Bridge, Terry Chapman e Kevin Hughes. Tiveram algum sucesso em Sydney mas não fora da sua terra natal. Deixaram no entanto algumas grandes gravações ao estilo Merseybeat.
Tiveram claramente influências dos Beatles, mas também da fase inicial dos Zombies, dos Fortunes, Gerry and the Pacemakers e outros grupos do pop e rock ‘n’ roll que eram frequentemente ouvidos em Inglaterra, nessa época.
A sua carreira decorreu entre 1965 e 1969, ano em que se desfizeram.

The Rayders, originalmente chamaram-se The Seakers, tendo alterado o seu nome para evitar confusão com um outro grupo australiano, The Seekers. Inicialmente, a banda tinha evoluído de outro grupo, Gene and the Dynamites. Quando Gordon Campbell deixou o grupo The Seakers e foi substituído por Lyndsay Mulholland dos Spartans, foi nesse momento que eles mudaram o nome para The Rayders.
Dois singles foram lançados em 1965, "Little Egypt" / "If You Had Love" e "I Cry" / "You And Me".
No início de 1966, o grupo decidiu mudar-se para Hamilton. Lyndsay Mulholland não os acompanhou e para o seu lugar entrou Chris Collier., que tinha pertencido antes aos Dave Miller and the Byrds.
No final de 1966, o grupo dissolveu-se.
Gravaram no entanto nos estúdios de Stebbing material suficiente para mais dois singles e um EP. Os singles foram lançados em 1966, sendo "It's All Over Now Baby Blue" / "Mother May I" e "Working Man" / "In Time". O EP nunca foi lançado.
Brian McCarthy faleceu subitamente em 14 de agosto de 2010, com 65 anos.
