Nearly 35 years since measles was eradicated in America Pennsylvania has confirmed two measles-associated deaths; of note is that neither person had received the measles vaccine. One of the deceased was a newborn who contracted the virus before birth; state health officials classified it as a measles-associated death due to positive postmortem test results.

Pennsylvania has reported more than 420 confirmed measles cases across 30 counties this year. Two doses of the MMR [measles, mumps, and rubella] vaccine offer about 97% protection against the virus so people don’t have to start dying from measles again.

Vote Blue to end this anti-vaxxer bull shit and keep people from dying.

A Minneapolis rally organized by Jake Lang—a former GOP candidate for Senate in Florida and January 6 thug who Cankles pardoned—descended into chaos on August 23 when a counter-protester dressed as Spider-Man appeared to punch Lang in the face.

Lang was holding a sign containing an anti-Black racial slur during the rally outside Minneapolis City Hall which was organized in response to the conviction of Shiloh Hendrix, a white woman who was found guilty of disorderly conduct after directing the same slur at an autistic eight-year-old Black boy at a playground in nearby Rochester.

Racists do stick together. So, Lang and his supporters were at City Hall for only a few minutes before the demonstration devolved into violence and they fled the area but video from the event clearly showed a man dressed as Spider-Man, later identified as William Nicholas Love, striking Lang in the face.

Love was among 11 people arrested and has been charged with assault, while Lang was also arrested and charged with inciting a riot.

Lang, who is filled with hatred for nearly everyone, had previously staged anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim protests in Minneapolis, and tried to burn a Pride flag during an anti-LGBTQ+ demonstration and has long been the subject of violent confrontations with counter-protesters.

So there’s that, but there’s this, too:

In Texas Hood County Constable John Shirley took action last week when he disabled and covered up all three county-owned Flock Safety automated license plate readers. The defiant move came after a unanimous decision by the Hood County Commissioners Court to terminate its contract with the tech company amidst rising citizen pushback and contract performance issues.

In a public statement on social media, Constable Shirley shared photos of the covered devices, telling the surveillance company to ‘come get your garbage out of my county’ and asserting that the protection of everyday privacy must come before indiscriminate data collection.

On top of that, Vindman’s defeated campaign has donated an additional $400,000 to the Florida Democratic Party to help win elections across the state, including Angie Nixon's, whom he promised to support.

He was leery of MaxGoldberg when Max first came along--though they are best buddies now.  He was also leery of Tallulah when she first moved in and is still leery of her now because she's one crazy bitch. 

So, when Consuelo arrived, ee watched him, but then he started playing with her and chasing her and letting her chase him; it's like he's her big brother.

Dolly Parton passed away Tuesday at the age of eighty; a good long life, I’d say.

Years ago, living in California, some friends and I were at South Lake Tahoe doing a wee bit of gambling at Harrah’s. Dolly Parton was performing there and by chance we checked on tickets and were able to see her, She was sweet and funny and bawdy and sassy and just all the things you thought Dolly Parton would be.

Sidenote: when I was living in California several friends and I went up to Lake Tahoe to gamble and drink and party. While in the casino we learned that Dolly Paron was performing that night and we scored some tickets. I had never seen her before, wasn’t what I considered a big fan, but she was fabulous and all of the things you realize that she has always been. It turned out to be one of the great shows.

The fact that Hakeem Jeffries legitimized Jared Kushner, who has earned upwards of $2 billion from Saudi Arabia, through a secret meeting to find 'common ground' should mean he has no future in politics.

Country singer Kacey Musgraves used the opening night of her “Middle of Nowhere” tour in Chicago to raise awareness for children affected by immigration enforcement by asking fans to support the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights. First, the con continues … they tried to hide the June Jobs Report and now we see why; a slower than expected 57,000 jobs added, the weakest since February, and in July we lost 23,000 jobs. All while the Corrupt Cankles says the economy is the best it’s ever been, his poll numbers are through the roof, and America is back …

Back, for the wealthiest among us, as in the case of Leon Skum who paid $0 in taxes in 2018 while his company, Tesla, paid $0 Federal Tax on $5.7 billion in US income. Cankles made $1.4 billion in crypto from  the White House and his sons are tied to $6.3 billion in Pentagon contracts with inside info he admitted they have.

Cankles added $7.8 trillion to the debt in his first term while millions died from COVID and he’s added another $2.9 trillion in his second term so far.

Trillions for war and billionaire tax cuts and what do we The People get? Public schools defunded, federal workers fired, and jobs vanishing.

This isn’t policy or politics; this is a heist and in 2026 and in 2028 we need to take it back.

 

The Regime told us immigrants were the greatest threat to this country and sent the ICEstapo to round them up and put them in concentration camps.

The Regime said Iran was our greatest threat and dropped bombs on schoolchildren.

Now the Regime says Communism is the greatest threat to our country.

It’s almost like they need to keep inventing enemies to distract us from the real enemy: the Regime.

 

Now, learn this: if a Bad President can come in and take away our rights and we’re dependent on a Good President replacing them in four years to give us back our rights, then we do not have any rights. If politicians can take or distribute rights, then they are not “inalienable” and they are not “rights.”

We don’t have inalienable rights, we have conditional privileges, divvied out according to the whims of whomever is holding the power. And if we want actual rights, then we need to build a system in which no one has the power to take them away to begin with.

 

Now, we know that the new fear from the right is communism but look at this:

The US government now holds equity in 30 private companies, up from zero a year ago. In some cases, the US government is the largest shareholder in these companies.

Since that is the core structure of Communism, state control of the means of production, do you oppose the Communist activities of the current President and his Regime?

 

Dan Crenshaw, former Representative from Texas who lost his reelection bid says that during this time of rising costs We The People need to “stop whining”:

“Just hearing about this dumb $20 burrito debate [in some colleges the price of a burrito is now $20] so I just thought I’d make the losers on social media angry before going to bed. Stop whining, get a job, eat Ramen like the rest of us did in college, on a budget with 4 roommates.”

I guess Dan forgot that college tuitions are through the roof and food costs and gas prices and energy costs are soaring but just eat some Ramen. Dan also forgot to mention that he gets a pension and free healthcare for life even after his constituents kicked him out of office.

I’ve told y’all before about the woman from the Catholic Church who sometimes gives Carlos rides to interpretations if I’m working. Well, he and this woman, who I have dubbed his CarWife, have also started going for walks every so often when I’m at work and recently, another woman from the church has joined them. So, Tuesday morning over breakfast they began texting Carlos about walking on Wednesday or Thursday and he responded that he was open to it and then … these two women began texting so furiously in a text chain to one another and to Carlos that I thought I was sitting at a slot machine in Vegas during a huge payout!!

I’m glad he’s got some friends and gets out of the house while I’m working—most of his translations lately have been via phone or Zoom—but they need to simplify their texts!

One of my oldest, dearest friends, Nora, has a dog named Cotton that she loves like it was, well, anything but a dog. I get pictures of the dog, cards from the dog, calendars of the dog. You'd think it was a cat. Anyway, this year, for my birthday—and before you ask I am somewhere between forty and death—my old old OLD friend Nora sent me a stuffed toy dog that looks ::::gulp:::: just like her dog Cotton.

I have been having the best time with Hunter Biden on social media taking on the haters like he has zero fucks to give/ So here are a few things he’s posted of late, and responses to some people who have come for him or his family.

And speaking of pigs, Georgia Superior Court Judge William McClain sentenced Jose Torres and Kayla Norton to 20 years and 15 years in prison for shouting racial slurs and threatening black adults and children at a child's birthday party in 2015.

Torres and Norton were members of a group of Confederate flag supporters, many of whom belonged to the group known as Respect the Flag. For two days, this group of bigots drove around in pickups waving Confederate flags and shouting slurs at black families in counties outside Atlanta.

In Douglasville, these morons yelled racial slurs at the birthday party's attendees as they drove by; Torres threatened to kill the people at the party with a shotgun Norton had loaded and retrieved from his truck.

The couple faces probation after serving their prison time and are both banished from Douglas County.

Both Torres and Norton broke down in tears at their sentencing.

Sorry, not sorry. Enjoy prison and I hope you serve all of your time.
