Bobservations

There are times when I feel like I’m living in a real-life version of some TV hick town where they roll the sidewalks up at 5PM every day.

Carlos recently had a court interpretation in a town called Cayce, about 45 miles from our home, and since he doesn’t drive, I took the day off from work and off we went. We got to the courthouse and went inside … there is one courtroom, and outside the courtroom door is a metal detector. Carlos told the bailiff what he was there for and we were told to have a seat and wait until the case was called.

We waited about a half hour and then another bailiff came out to tell Carlos that the client he was to translate for, had not shown up, and so the case was being held over until they could get the man there. Court was, in fact, over for the day, and it was just 9:30 AM.

But the best part was that, as Carlos filled out paperwork to get paid for his time, the bailiff walked over to the  metal detector, unplugged it, and wheeled it into a closet near the courtroom door; then she took the small table that held the one basket used to hold personal items as you went through the detector and tucked into the closet, too.

I was waiting for them to put the wheels on the courthouse and drive it to the next town for court.

Seriously, ask yourselves what the GOP has proposed to do about healthcare, or immigration, or climate change, or COVID because all they seem to do is push guns into our hands and scare us with migrants running amok over the borders and Mickey Mouse being a pedophile.

The GOP-controlled Florida Senate has voted to dissolve Disney World’s Reedy Creek Improvement District as punishment for standing against the Don’t Say Gay Bill. The Reedy Creek Improvement Act allows Walt Disney World to reside in Florida unregulated, acting as its own “government” and creating a special taxing district that acts with the same authority as a county government.

The termination of this act transfers a whopping $2 billion worth of debt from Disney over to Florida taxpayers, resulting in a new tax assessment of $2200 a year for Orange and Osceola County families.

All because Ron DeSantis got his panties in a snit.

A New Jersey Catholic diocese has agreed to pay $87.5 million to settle claims involving child raping priests with some 300 victims in one of the largest cash settlements involving the Catholic church in the United States.

You know, if the Catholic Church would simply have those rapists arrested and tried for their crimes, they might save some of the money that they are clearly fonder of than children.

Speaking of payouts … If you're ever sitting in public and a stranger takes the seat next to you, just stare straight ahead and quietly say:

"Did you bring the money?"

It looks like GOPQAnon Madison Cawthorn is in hot water again!

Many North Carolinians are pissed at Maddie C. after he reportedly spent $2,950 to stay at Skylaranna—a luxury resort in his hometown of Hendersonville. And they’re even more angry that  he billed his constituents $2,000 that very same week for “food and beverages” from establishments like Chick-fil-A, Bojangles chicken, Joey’s NY Bagels, as well as a number of non-detailed payments to his government credit card.

Best of all, is that while Maddie was lounging at a luxury resort and shoving Chick-fil-A into his traitorous piehole, he Tweeted:

“Democratic politicians certainly love wasting your hard-earned tax dollars while forcing your businesses to shut down.”

Pot meet Kettle.

Once again Consuelo has expressed her displeasure that Tuxedo makes an appearance weekly in this space and she does not. So, she perched herself on the bed, slapped on her most imperious punim, and demanded to be photographed.

I obliged because she threatened to use my leg as a scratching post. Again.

I was shocked when I saw this, but it’s true … QAnon nutjob actor has-been Ricky Schroder is getting a star on the Walk of Fame.

Wait—what? It’s not the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it’s the lesser known, well, unknown, walk of fame in Valencia, so, um, yeah, congrats?

Remember the Bill O’Reilly meltdown on TV years back—if not, Google it, it’s high-larious.

Well, this week the meltdown happened again when Billy’s JetBlue flight to Turks and Caicos was delayed by several hours and he went off on an airline employee:

“You’re going to lose your job.”

And when the employee tries to respond, O’Reilly shrieks:

“You f***ing scumbag. Don’t talk to me like that.”

I don’t know what’s funnier, Bill O’Reilly going Full Karen in an airport, or Bill O’Reilly flying JetBlue.

The same Tucker Carlson who thinks gay people are disgusting is the Tucker Carlson telling men they need to tan their balls in a glowing vise.

Lastly we have model Casey Field who models for Wilhelmina. He’s kinda cute, kinda shy, kinda naked, but … Would You Hit It?

I Ain't One To Gossip But ...

Sure, every gay knows that Patti LuPone played Mama Rose in Gypsy and sang Everything’s Coming Up Roses but that wasn’t an invitation to throw roses at her. So, please to explain why then, during a recent curtain call for Company, in which La LuPone stars, someone in the audience actually threw roses at the head of La LuPone. Luckily, Patti laughed it off but told the audience if they choose to throw roses, aim at the feet and remove all thorns.

Oh, and there's no truth to the rumor that the person in the audience who hurled the flowers at the Broadway Legend was Madonna, of whom LuPone once famously said:

“Madonna is a movie killer. She's dead behind the eyes. She cannot act her way out of a paper bag.”

I’d be surprised if it was Madonna, because if it was she'd throw a bouquet of hammers

A few days ago super businesswoman Kim Kardastrophe told women to get off their asses and work! Dammit. And it appears that one Jennifer Shah from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City took the orders to heart.

See, while Shah is awaiting trial for ALLEGEDLY swindling old folks out of their money with her team of grifters, all of whom have pleaded guilty and will testify against her, she has decided to sell some things to pay her legal bills.

No, she’s not selling her old clothes and shoes and wigs, but she is selling a “Not Guilty” line of merchandise. Get yourself a “Not Guilty” t-shirt for thirty bucks a pop and help Shah pay her defense lawyers so they won’t take her old clothes and shoes and wigs.

PS I’m not sure, but I think in that photo, Shah is rocking her version of prison stripes.

I first saw Taron Egerton in Kingsman: The Secret Service, and he was one hot little Welsh nugget. Egerton went on to play gay, as Elton John, in Rocketman, and he’s playing gay again in the London Production of Mike Bartlett’s Cock. But that's not the story ... the story is that during the play’s first performance Egerton fainted onstage.

I know the feeling; when I hear the words Taron Egerton and Cock, I faint.

Ricky Schroder, former actor and current MAGAt asshat, is throwing fits again in public over mask mandates. If you recall last Spring, Ricky terrorized employees at Costco over his refusal to wear a mask in the store and he’s back at it by trying to take on a security guard at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library & Museum.

Ricky was traveling with the so-called Freedom Convoy when he tried to get into the museum in Abilene, Kansas, and was told by a security guard that he needed to mask up. Little Ricky lost it, and when told it was a federal law began shrieking:

“I’m Ricky Schroeder. God’s laws are higher than the federal governments, but you’re going to enforce man’s laws?”

He then muttered that line about slavery:

“Unless you’re ready to, I guess, kill us all, you better change your minds because we’re not gonna live as slaves.”

He then called the security guard a “Nazi” and stomped off.

The best part of the video is a has-been actor shrieking “I’m Ricky Schroeder,” and the guard looking bewildered because he has no idea who that might be.

It looks like Liz won her battle with COVID-19 … Queen Elizabeth, I mean … and has decided to take a new lease on life, make a significant change and downsize.

Yes, Liz, whose husband passed away in April 2021, has decided that the nearly 900,000 square foot Buckingham Palace is too big for her now, and will downsize to the much more manageable 600,000  square foot Windsor Castle.

It’s nice to see her simplify.

I Ain't One To Gossip But ...

While the entire world revels in the reboot of Bennifer let us not forget the sadness that is Alex Rodriguez.

A-Rod is not doing well lately, y’all. I imagine he spends his days cutting JLo’s face out of pictures, deleting her photos from his phone, and painting himself as a victim. But this week he took that extra step into self-pity when he posted an Instagram picture of a family dinner with his two daughters and made sure we saw that he had set the table for six … the three empty spaces being for JLo and her kids.

How sad. How sad that she dumped him because he was ALLEGEDLY cheating on her so she could ALLEGEDLY start making her move on the next guy.

How. Sad.

Ricky Schroder, has-been actor, MAGAt, Thing #45 supporter QAnon conspiracy theorist wingnut harassed a Costco employee over the weekend for refusing to allow him inside the store without a mask.

When the Costco supervisor told Schroeder that the store’s mask policy remained unchanged despite last week’s new federal guidance for fully vaccinated Americans, Ricky went all Butt Hurt White Man Victim:

“Didn’t you see the news? You didn’t see the news? Nationwide, Costco has said you don’t need to wear masks.”

The supervisor calmly tells the wingnut that he’s wrong:

“Costco always goes above and beyond when following the law, and the mandate in California has not changed—”

Schroder cut him off:

“Oh, if they allow us? If they grant us that, our kings? The people in power? You’re going to listen to these people? They’ve destroyed our economy. They’re destroying our culture. They’re destroyed our state. And you’re just going to listen to the rules? I’m getting my refund.”

Schroder then shrieked at his, um, fan, as well as “everybody” in California to “get their refund” from Costco:

“Give up your membership to Costco until they remove this.”

Jason again reminded Schroder that Costco was following state law but Schroeder wasn’t having it and stormed off like the pissy little used-to-be that he is but, you know, as the story went viral, he had a change of heart as people took him to task on social media, and he crawled back to Facebook to apologize to the supervisor:

“I’m not upset with you or anyone in the position that you have. I understand that you’re following their laws and rules. I was trying to make a point to the corporate overlords and sorry that I had to use you to do it. If I hurt your feelings, I apologize … But I do think independence from medical tyranny is more important than hurt feelings.”

Medical tyranny. Corporate overlords.

Clearly Ricky still has that Silver Spoon shoved up his ass.

More Bill Gates? Well, in addition to being on speed dial with Jeffrey Epstein, Gates apparently had a habit of asking female employees at both Microsoft and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation out on dates. And while it appears that most of those attempts, which were called “clumsy”, ended in rejection, a confirmed affair with an employee led to Gates being investigated by the board of Microsoft a year before he stepped down.

Back in 2019, the Microsoft board investigated reports that Gates “sought to initiate an intimate relationship with a company employee in the year 2000.” Bill then issued a statement admitting to having had an affair “almost 20 years ago which ended amicably,” but swears it had nothing to do with him stepping down from the board a year following the investigation.

And, as if that doesn’t show what a snake Gates was—even though most women rebuffed his advances—there are reports that between 2011 and 2014, Bill “met Epstein dozens of times” ALLEGEDY … and this is rich … for marital advice.

All the money in the world and he wants y’all to believe he asked a child raping sex trafficker for advice om his marriage?

My only question now is, who gets custody of the vaccine chips that have been embedded in 130,000, 000 of us?

Remember the Goop vagina candle? The one she claims smelled like her cooch?

Well, apparently it was a bomb, and I don’t just mean that it didn’t sell like hot cakes. Apparently the Paltrow Pussy Scented Candle is also incredibly dangerous because one man named is suing Goop because he ALLEGES the candle exploded in his house.

There was, um, Goop everywhere!

Legal documents say Colby purchased the $75 candle online in January, lit it for the first time in February, placed it on his nightstand, and then says that three hours later the candle became engulfed in flames and exploded.

Colby says there was a “limited warning” on the Goop website that cautions not to burn the candle for more than two hours but says Goop should warn people that the candle could cause injuries if it exploded, and he wants $5 million.

Now, this isn’t the first time a customer claimed the vagina candle was an explosion hazard. Jody Thompson says her candle blew up when she lit it and that it “emitted huge flames, with bits flying everywhere.” She described it as an “inferno.”

Now, I have questions … why was Colby, a man, in need of a vagina-scented candle? Does he not get the real thing? Does this mean Paltrow’s cooch is a lethal weapon? If you light a match near Paltrow’s crotch, will she burst into flames? And more importantly, who buys a candle that smells like cooch?

But, if you did, or would, purchase such a thing, I'd like you to know that this fall you can buy the Bob's Sweaty Ball Scented Road Flare! Nothing says 'Stop, and help me' like the smell of sweaty balls.

I Ain't One To Gossip But ...

Just when you think she’d gone away for good, Paris Hilton has crawled from the ooze to claim that she invented the selfie. You see, back in 2017, this dim bulb Tweeted a photo of herself hanging out with Britney Spears back in 2006, and wrote:

“11 years ago today, Me & Britney invented the selfie!”

Twitter, like most of the world, ignored Paris, so she came back three years later to again Tweet:

“14 years ago, @britneyspears and I invented the selfie #LegendsOnly.”

And more than 106,000 people liked the picture, while a few took Paris to task, posting things like this from someone named Tito Ambyo:

“The drunk Aussie dude did it before you though. In 2002.”

But then a Tweeter named Shelby dropped the mic when she posted:

“Sorry [Paris], these are the oldest selfie in the world.”

So, take a seat Paris; take several seats. You didn’t’ invent the selfie, but you most assuredly invented Clueless Media Whore.

Uh-oh, her heart may go on, but there will be fewer coins in the bank account.

Yup, Celine Dion just lost a lawsuit between herself and her former talent agency ICM Partners. ICM was suing Celine, saying she owed them a boatload of cash in commissions, as stipulated in her contract with them, and a judge sided with ICM.

It all began in 2017, when Celine signed a multi-year touring and performing contract with AEG ALLEGEDLY valued at $500 million. ICM claimed Celine never paid them their cut of the deal and so, in 2019, ICM and Dion’s longtime representative, Rob Prinz, dropped her as a client, and then sued her for the money.

Celine argued that she had already paid Rob tons of money in the 30 years she was a client but that matters not when it comes to the $500M she pocketed while a client. So, Celine then claimed that Rob and ICM tried to take advantage of her after her husband, Rene Angelil, died in 2016, because Rene handled the business side of things, and she wasn’t used to doing that on her own:

“I have paid Mr. Prinz many millions of dollars over the years. And when this all started, my team made an extremely generous offer to pay him and ICM many more millions for years to come, even though our old agreements were over and we had not made a new one. I’m not saying that Mr. Prinz did not do anything, but he’s taking much more credit for my career than he deserves. Mr. Prinz had never asked to be paid for 10 years for a few months’ work, and I never agreed to it. When Rene was alive, he took care of my business and was always very fair with the people we worked with, and he taught me to be the same. Because he wasn’t here to stand up for me at the hearing, I feel like Mr. Prinz and ICM took advantage with their demands for money and revealing confidential information about my AEG deal. I feel betrayed.”

As Judge Judy might say, I don’t care how you feel, and this judge wasn’t buying the poor widow act from someone who had been in the business since she was a child bride. Cough up the coins, Celine. Don’t be a deadbeat. ICM wants their $13 million.

Cue the dragons, Jane Seymour is pissed.

Apparently the producers of something called Glow and Darkness—a medieval miniseries—have replaced Seymour in part of the series with a :::gasp::: younger actress! You see, Jane’s character, Eleanor of Aquitaine, was supposed to age from 25 to 80, and producers just didn’t think sixty-nine-year-old  Jane could pull off mid-twenties. Normally, I’d say cast an actual twenty-something in the role, but here’s the rub:  one of Jane’s co-stars is 87-year-old Dame Joan Collins who plays a woman who dies at age 40.

Collins can play 40 but Seymour can’t pay 25? To be fair, Jane will still play Eleanor, but another actress will play younger Eleanor, and that pisses off Jane, who says she didn’t learn about the switch until she arrived on-set:

“They told me that only I was going to play myself at 25, but before I even got round to doing it, the day before, without telling me, they found another actress to play me at 25. It’s something I really don’t understand at all because believe it or not, and you can see on Instagram, they don’t even need to do the facial stuff on me. It works just fine. Joan Collins is 87, and she’s supposed to be playing a woman who dies at 40.”

Ouch. Jane just threw Joan under the bus with the “facial stuff” comment. I wouldn’t want to be her on that film set. But, if Jane, who, yes, looks fabulous at 69, thinks she looks 25, then maybe cataract surgery is in order?

photo 1  photo 2

It was just the other day that I posted about former actor and accused domestic abuser Ricky Schroeder throwing the last few coins he has into the bail out pool for the Kenosha Murderer, and now Ricky is whining that people are being mean to him for helping a boy, a child, who illegally purchased a gun, murder two people and injure a third, get out of jail.

Schroeder has been on the receiving end of some absolutely terrifying “negative social media posts” and, as MAGAts do when people call them out of their brazen ignorance, stupidity and hate, he called the police because people on social media were mean to him. Oh, honey, social media was invented so people can be mean to dicks like Rick.

Law enforcement sources say that police were called to Schroeder’s home after he went on Twitter and saw that someone had posted:

“Tbh thought he was dead. Would’ve been better”

“This was a racist move pure and simple”

And my personal favorite:

“Ricky Schroder can shove that silver spoon right up his own ass”

Police “determined none of the online comments rose to the level of a criminal threat” and left after taking a “suspicious circumstances report” adding that Schroder will be in contact with authorities if things escalate.

But then Ricky, who whined about meanies on social media, took to social media to, ahem, stand his ground by saying …

“To my Democrat Friends. This is the country want to live in? [sic] #fuckantifa

… alongside screen shots of the mean things people, said about him and a photo of Ricky carrying a gun, roaming through his backyard of his manse in Malibu looking for that Antifa threat that is sure to come his way. And he wants y’all to know that he doesn’t give a flying f**k about COVID and is having all his family over for Superspreader Thanksgiving because he’s a patriot.

Or a MAGAt loon who bails out murderers and then calls the police because the internet trolled him.

photo

In the Thankful Spirit, let’s talk about a real patriot, from Canada, Alex Trebek. It seems the late Jeopardy! host was quite the conservationist who quietly donated 62 acres of his land in the Hollywood Hills to the city of Los Angeles nearly twenty years ago. It’s called the Trebek Open Space, and it runs into Runyon Canyon park providing trails for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. When Trebek passed away a couple of weeks ago, the Laurel Canyon Land Trust posted about his donation:

“Today Alex Trebek passed away. Did you know that he was generous conservationist in addition to being a famous game show host? He donated 62 acres of land in the Santa Monica Mountains in Nichols Canyon to create the Trebek Open Space. This was not only a gift to urban Angelinos who thirst for open space and outdoor activity, but a gift to native animals such as our local Mountain Lions that require large amounts of open space in order to survive, and a gift to future generations who will have to reckon with climate change in the years to come. Thank you Alex Trebek and may you Rest in Peace.”

That’s how it’s done.

RIP Alex. And thank you.

Ricky Schroder Bails Out A Murderer ... And Smiles About It

First off, I am not anti-Second Amendment. If people want guns, and they can be responsible gun owners, then have at it. I have, at this point, no need or desire to own any type of gun, but that’s just me.

However, on August 25, 2020, the city of Kenosha, Wisconsin erupted in protests after the police shooting on Black man Jacob Blake.

The Murderer—I will not say his name here—a 17-year-old from Antioch, Illinois, illegally purchased an AR-15 rifle and traveled thirty miles, across state lines, to defend …. Well, no one really knows what he was doing there, we only know he came armed and hoped to confront protesters. At some point, this armed teenager, allowed to roam freely armed through the protest. At one point, The Murderer says protesters began chasing him and physically confronting him, so he shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and injure Gaige Grosskreutz.

The Murderer was arrested and charged with multiple counts of homicide and unlawful possession of a firearm, while Dominick Black, of Antioch, was arrested and charged with unlawfully supplying a weapon to The Murderer, whose attorneys claim he acted in self-defense upon hearing a firearm discharge and in response to the numerous physical confrontations by protesters.

The very protesters he drove across state lines to confront after illegally purchasing an assault style weapon.

That alone makes me hope he rots in jail, and he was about to, at least until his trial started—his bail was set at $2 million—when a group of Christians—who missed that one Commandment about not killing—began collecting money for his bail.

And last week, his lawyer, Lin Wood Tweeted out that actor Rocky Schroder gave the last boost of cash—$150,000—that set The Murderer free while awaiting trial.

Again, you like the Second Amendment, good for you; but when a child, and seventeen is a child, illegally buys a weapon, and travels across state lines in what would appear to be an attempt to hunt protesters and then kills two and injures a third, and you think he should be free on bail, you’re a special kind of stupid, or …

You’re Ricky Schroder.

PS Ricky? Asshat? Where was your bail check for Kenneth Walker, Breonna Taylor’s boyfriend, who had the right to own a weapon, and the right to carry a weapon, shot a police officer he believed to be breaking into his home? Or do you only bail out white people?

I Ain't One To Gossip But ...

If you have so much money that you pull a stunt like this, maybe you should think of giving away most of your coins, m’kay?

Realtor, and Shark Tank judge, Barbara Corcoran threw herself a 70th birthday party and the theme of the party was funeral chic. To that end, Babs bought, or maybe rented, a coffin so she could celebrate her own funeral. Party … party? … guests arrived at a Fifth Avenue penthouse to find Corcoran lying in a coffin in a red gown with flowers on either side of her and a cardboard cutout of her as a nun.

Like I said, those coins could have been put to better use.
Again, not a surprise to loyal ISBL readers, but I simply loathe Oprah Winfrey … and not just because she thinks avocados are too expensive, so she bought herself an avocado grove.

Oprah, because when she isn’t talking about food, is talking about herself, is revealing why she “stepped away” from being a 60 Minutes correspondent … the producers asked her to tome down her, ahem, Oprah-ness. I guess they were annoyed that, during the opening credits, she would bellow:
“I’m Oprah Winfrey. I’M OPRAH. WINFREY. OPRAAAAAAAAAAAAH! WINFREYYYYYYYYYYYY!”
Yeah, I don’t blame ‘em.
Tori Spelling has dodged a bullet and will not, apparently, be arrested for being a deadbeat after all.

That bench warrant, which was issued for her arrest at the beginning of April, has been dropped. April warrants bring May … deposition?

Tori and Dean McDermott are fighting with City National Bank over some failed payments on a $400,000 loan–they still owe more than $250,000—and Spelling was supposed to show up to a court hearing to deal with the mess, but she said she was busy in Israel promoting children’s clothes with her BFF Jennie Garth.

But next week Tori will be deposed about all of her financial problems, her assets, and her income. A creditor will then comb through all of Tori and Dean’s bad choices and figure out how to make the billionaire’s deadbeat daughter and son-in-law pay their debts.

Fingers crossed that Luke Perry-less 90210 reboot gets a green light cuz Tori really needs the coins … for her debt, or for bail.
I always thought Ricky Schroder was one of the few child stars who made it into adulthood without being a screw-up, but it appears that maybe Ricky waited until he was an adult before going off the deep end.

Last week Ricky was arrested for felony domestic violence … for the second time in one month … and now he’s sitting in jail for ALLEGEDLY hitting his girlfriend.

It seems police were called at 12:43 AM for a domestic incident at the NYPD Blue and Silver Spoons star’s home and shortly thereafter he was arrested for felony domestic violence … just 30 days after the LA County Sheriff’s Department made the exact same arrest on April 2nd. During that  incident, Ricky ALLEGEDLY “punched his girlfriend in the face as she tried to leave their home”.

A couple of years ago Schroder’s wife filed for divorce, and sought custody of their remaining minor child, after 24 years of marriage.

Even more telling, Schroder hasn’t worked in the last two years. Apparently, all his time has been … has been … devoted to getting divorced and hitting his girlfriend?
I love celebrities who dish the dirt and so I am swooning over Anjelica Huston who gave an interview to Vulture and spilled a lot of tea.

She talks about how she gave up on her friendship with Penny Marshall over air conditioning, baseball hats and coke:
“Her habits conflicted with mine. She stayed up all night smoking cigarettes in subzero temperatures. Her rooms were freezing. Like air-conditioned, way up. She stayed up all night, followed QVC for beanbag dolls and stuff. She had this collection of sports memorabilia. She had a sort of museum in her basement full of signed baseballs and Lakers shirts. I just couldn’t relate. And also, frankly, she took a lot of coke.”
She spills the tea about ex-flame Jack Nicholson being a coke-head …not so much of a surprise, but still:
“[Jack] never took overt amounts. He was never a guzzler. I think Jack sort of used it, probably like Freud did, in a rather smart way. Jack always had a bit of a problem with physical lethargy. He was tired, and I think probably, at a certain age, a little bump would cheer him up. Like espresso.”
Don’t tell that to Starbucks … lest they come up with the Double-Bump Latte.

She also made excuses for Roman Polanski raping a thirteen-year-old girl in the 70s:
“Well, see, it’s a story that could’ve happened ten years before in England or France or Italy or Spain or Portugal, and no one would’ve heard anything about it. And that’s how these guys enjoy their time. It was a whole playboy movement in France when I was a young girl, 15, 16 years old, doing my first collections. You would go to Régine or Castel in Paris, and the older guys would all hit on you. Any club you cared to mention in Europe. It was de rigueur for most of those guys like Roman who had grown up with the European sensibility.”
I had no idea rape was a “European sensibility.” And she also thinks Polanski, who fled this country to avoid prosecution, should be allowed back:
“My opinion is: He’s paid his price, and at the time that it happened, it was kind of unprecedented. This was not an unusual situation. You know that movie An Education with Carey Mulligan? That happened to me. It’s about a schoolgirl in England who falls in love with an older dude, Peter Sarsgaard. My first serious boyfriend I met when he was 42 and I was 18.”
Oh, Angelica, an 18-year-old dating an older man is quite different than a thirteen-year-old being raped. But then she goes back in to dish about Oprah … and I die:
“[Oprah] never had me on her show, ever. She won’t talk to me. The only encounter I’ve had with Oprah was when I was at a party for the Academy Awards, a private residence. I was talking to Clint Eastwood, and she literally came between us with her back to me. So, all of the sudden I was confronted with the back of Oprah’s head.”
And that had to be a huge head.
Finally, she dogs Bill Murray:
“He was a sh-t to me on Life Aquatic. The first week I was there, we were all in this little hotel, and he invited the entire cast to go and have dinner, except me. And everyone came down for dinner, a little dog-faced about my not being invited, and they were all like, ‘Oh, you know, we don’t really want to go.’ That was worse than anything.”
A lot of that was messy and crazy and rape-y, but the dish on Murray and Oprah kinda made my day. As does this last story …
Remember those drama kids from North Bergen High in New Jersey who staged a theatrical production of Alien as their class play that was so well-done the production went viral?

Well, over the weekend, Alien [the movie] star Sigourney Weaver, who was stunned by the idea of the pay and their efforts, that  she went to see it.

And came backstage to congratulate them.

And posed for pictures with them.

Class act, Miss Weaver.
