Bobservations

Last night around 11PM I say to Carlos:

“I’m tired, I’m going to bed now.”

“I’m going to read for a bit longer.”

“All right. Night. Love you.”

“Love you, too.”

I go to bed and I’m out like a light until I get nudged:

“Did I tell you about my meeting today?”

“No, but—”

And he proceeds to tell me every detail of his meeting. When he finished, I again say how tired I am and am going to sleep, and again, after a bit I get nudged awake:

“I was talking to Ellen today …”

And he gives me a word-by-word replay of their conversation until I realize it’s now midnight and I say:

“Please, can I just get some sleep?”

“Oh sorry, night sweetie.”

And then I hear:

“How would you like to have dinner with some friends on Saturday night?”

“Can this wait?”

“Well, I mean, we didn’t get a chance to have dinner for my birthday last week and I was—”

“I guess the dinner and drinks and desert we had at Masa last Tuesday night ON YOUR BIRTHDAY don’t count?”

“Oh, I forgot.”

The worst part of this story is that we both had the day off and he’d had all day to tell me his stories but waited until I’m asleep. But hen, maybe he thought it would be the only time I had my yap closed?

This Tuxedo Tale, from April 2009 is one of many of Tuxedo enjoying his life:

Yup, that's how it's done!

You’d think that a guy who claims to have aced so many cognitive tests would know the difference between a doctor and the Messiah.

Ben Affleck has reportedly gifted his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez his entire share of their $60 million mansion for free. The former couple modified their property settlement agreement, which shows a “transfer of property among spouses” and I have two thoughts:

1] This is how JLo makes all her money, and …

B] Ben Affleck gave up $30 million to have JLO out of his life.

That’s all.

Following Cankles now-deleted image of him as Jesus, Nancy Pelosi was asked what she thought:

“You’d have to ask a psychiatrist, because it’s not worth a conversation, but it’s worthy of a diagnosis.”

Score again for Pelosi v Cankles.

After many late nights at the State Capitol to finish out the 2024 session the Georgia legislature successfully defeated ALL anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.

Yes, they stopped nearly 20 anti-LGBTQ+ bills with the help of the people of Georgia who called their representatives to make their voices heard and ended:

SB 88: a ‘don’t say gay’ bill targeting LGBTQ+ topics in schools

HB 1045: a forced outing bill against students

HB 1128: a bill to redefine “sex” to exclude trans identities

SB 141 and 519: bills to further restrict access to gender-affirming care

HB 936 and 836: bathroom bans targeting trans students

SB 438: a ban on trans students participating in sports

SB 180 ‘RFRA’: a license to discriminate on the basis of religion

HB 1140: a surprise amendment to ban trans participation from school sports and use of correct restrooms

HB 1170: a surprise amendment to restrict access to medical care for trans youth

This is the Resistance at work and proves that when we act as one and stand against hate, we win.

Cast a Goddamned Vote!

That’s the Tweet put out by Professional Grifting Grieving Widow Erika Kirk about her joint event with her future ex-husband JD CouchFucker Vance in Athens Georgia today. She claims her security detail said there was a "credible threat."

Yeah, a "credible threat" no one showing up for these two MAGAts and so Erika decided to stay home.

Ain't That America ... Let's Celebrate A Little ....

Okay, we all know about the big Democrat wins last week … Zohran Mamdani won the New York City mayoral race … Mikie Sherrill is the next governor of New Jersey and Abigail Spanberger won the  Virginia governor’s races … and California voters approved Prop 50 to temporarily redraw the state's congressional districts to add Democrat-leaning districts, but there are other wins, smaller perhaps, but just as important, like …

In Georgia, Peter Hubbard and Alicia Johnson are the newest members of the state's five-person public utility regulator after earning roughly 60% of the vote. It's the first time Democrats have won a nonfederal statewide office there since 2006 and one where soaring energy costs and displeasure with incumbents dominated the race.

Pennsylvania voters retained three state Supreme Court judges that were first elected as Democrats after millions of dollars in outside spending tried to reshape the court's politics. Democrats also won special elections for a seat on Pennsylvania's Superior Court and a seat on its Commonwealth Court. Democrats also swept the top "row offices" in the purple-hued Bucks County, electing the county's first-ever Democratic district attorney and defeating an incumbent Republican sheriff; Democrats similarly won in county executive races in Erie, Lehigh and Northampton counties.

In Mississippi … yes, Mississippi … Democrats have broken a GOP supermajority in the state Senate after flipping two seats in that chamber and another seat the state House.

Democrats also expanded their control of the Virginia House of Delegates and gained a supermajority in New Jersey's General Assembly.

In Georgetown, South Carolina, Democrats flipped all three city council seats, while in Orlando, Florida the last remaining Republican city council member was voted out. And for the first time in fifty years Democrats control the Onondaga County legislature that includes Syracuse, New York, while in North Carolina Democrats saw a city council seat in Charlotte switch parties for the first time since 1999.

Beyond Mamdani's victory in New York City, the Democratic Socialists of America touted municipal wins for members in Detroit, Atlanta and Cambridge, Massachusetts, among others.

DNC Chairperson Ken Martin predicted that the party's success in special elections in 2025—Democrats overperformed prior margins by an average of about 14%—would continue into the midterm cycle.

Let’s keep this going into next year, and beyond …

Democrats are turning up the heat on the DOJ to release details on a probe into the Epstein's co-conspirators that was "inexplicably killed." Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, wrote in a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi:

"I write to demand an explanation for why DOJ has abandoned the women and girls abused by Mr. Epstein, Ms. Maxwell, and their co-conspirators, fired or cut off career prosecutors from the case, and ceased its investigation into one of the largest sex trafficking rings in history."

But Cankles wanted this investigation killed because his name is all over the Epstein files so that’s what Pammy Jo Bondi did. Unfortunately for Cankles, the pressure to release more information on Epstein is bipartisan. Democrats and Republicans alike want answers and the moment that the government reopens there are going to be widespread demands for a full release.

MAGA hack Judge Aileen Cannon—a partisan Cankle appointee who oversaw his federal criminal case and ruled that Jack Smith's appointment was unconstitutional—was ordered to release the remaining parts of Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation into Cankle's classified documents scandal:

"By keeping this order in place, Judge Cannon is undermining both accountability and the rule of law. There is no legitimate reason for the report's continued suppression, and it should be posted on the court's public docket without further delay."

We The People have a right to know the full truth about Cankles the Felon.

When Josh White, owner of Heretic Coffee Co. in Portland, learned that many families could lose SNAP benefits on November 1, 2025, he couldn’t imagine parents struggling to feed their children so he made a bold promise: anyone losing assistance could come in for a free breakfast burrito and a cup of coffee no questions asked. Critics warned him it could destroy his business, but Josh said he was willing to lose everything if it meant children wouldn’t go hungry.

What happened next was wonderful, as people across Portland and across the world began donating to support his mission. In just a short time, over $300,000 was raised, giving Heretic Coffee the ability to serve thousands of free meals.

Josh never set out to be a hero; he simply refused to ignore people in need, which is what the Cankles Regime is doing … letting people starve.

Before announcing that she would be retiring from public service, Nancy Pelosi dropped a truth bomb on CNN when she said of Cankles:

“He’s just a vile creature. The worst thing on the face of the Earth.”

And  then she laid out the charges:

Turning the Supreme Court into a rogue arm of extremism.

“Abolishing” the House’s power like an aspiring king.

Intimidating the press.

Terrorizing immigrants who are here legally.

And she made it clear: her mission in Congress isn’t about legacy, chairs, or ego but:

“My only reason I'm in Congress this term is to win the House for the Democrats, to protect us from the poison of the [Cankles Regime.”

You can say what you want about Nancy Pelosi but she has, on more than one occasion, stared straight into the eyes of that wannabe dictator and called him exactly what he is:

A fascist racist rapist grifter predator and a liar.

Speaking of heroes, here’s Illinois National Guard Captain Dylan Blaha, who had his security clearance suspended by DUI Hire Paranoid Pete Hegseth after he urged his fellow servicemembers to not “obey illegal orders against Americans.”

In addition, he is also running for US Congress  in Illinois to make America affordable for all Americans.

That is The Resistance at work.

Steve Bannon, that unbathed lump of rightwingnut flesh, told the Conservative Partnership Institute, in his best Scalet O’Hara impression:

“As God is my witness. If we lose the midterms, if we lose 2028, some in this room are going to prison—myself included.”

So, um, Steve? What’s the problem exactly?

"Dr." Mehmet Quack Oz was front and center as Cankles unveiled a new deal with two pharmaceutical giants to expand coverage and reduce prices for their popular obesity treatments and Oz announced:

“Mr. President, our estimate, based on the company numbers as well, is that Americans will lose 135 billion pounds by the midterms.”

Since clearly math and numbers are hard for the regime, let me spell this out: the current U.S. population is 342 million and every American would need to lose about 394 pounds over the next year to hit Oz’s figure. And if the group was limited to the estimated 146.9 million people on Medicare and Medicaid, each individual would need to lose an average of 900 pounds.

Seriously … stupid.

GOP Michigan Representative Lisa McClain, who is best known here for telling a Cankles rally crowd that he killed Osama Bin Laden, says the GOP had its ass handed to them because, well, let’s have her say it:

“Voter turnout from Republicans was not high. Not high at all. But I think part of that reason is because Republicans, for the most part, are happy with what’s happening.”

The MAGAts are happy with America so they stayed home and didn’t vote?

Sure Jan.

In Oregon last week U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut ... appointed by Cankles in his first term ... issued a permanent injunction barring the Cankles Regime from deploying the National Guard in Portland in response to protests against his immigration policies:

“This Court arrives at the necessary conclusion that there was neither ‘a rebellion or danger of a rebellion’ nor was the President ‘unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States’ in Oregon when he ordered the federalization and deployment of the National Guard.”

Cankles can appeal the ruling if it wants to … when he wakes up from his nap.

It looks like Cankles AKA Sleepy Don was once again caught taking a nap in the Oval Office during a press conference. A Washington Post analysis of multiple video feeds found that Cankles spent nearly 20 minutes trying to keep his eyes open before nodding off. And, of course, the White House denied Cankles was asleep and suggested the question was out of line:

“The President was not sleeping; in fact, he spoke throughout and took many questions from the press during this announcement which represents a historic reduction in prices for Americans on two drugs that help Americans struggling with diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and other conditions.”

Yeah, keep spinning that story.

Cankles wants the Washington Commanders to name their planned $3.7 billion stadium after him; a senior White House source said there have been communications with a member of the Commanders’ ownership group, led by Josh Harris, to express Cankle’s desire to have the stadium bear his name and even KKKarolying Leavitt jumped in:

“That would be a beautiful name, as it was [Cankles] who made the rebuilding of the new stadium possible.”

I have some suggestions ... Adulterers Arena  … Cankles Coliseum … Fat Fascist Football Stadium … Sexual Predator Park … Lying POS Stadium … Blithering Idiot Bowl ...

Do you have any suggestions?

It appears that the same day Cankles napped in the Oval  a man collapsed and a photo of Cankles standing utterly still, ignoring the commotion, while others attended to the man went viral.

If that isn’t a metaphor for what this Fascist Racist Rapist Predator Liar Con Artist Thieving Adulterer is doing to this country … standing by while Americans work without pay, while Americans go hungry, while his fascist Police Chief DogKiller Noem arrests and detains innocent people, while his DUI Hire Hegseth shoots boats out of the water in the Caribbean then I don’t know what it might be.

But it’s time to keep the Resistance up and keep the pressure on and work as hard as we can so that next November another blue Wave will take back America from the hands of  criminals.

I Didn't Say It ...

Mark King, HIV/AIDS activist, looking back on his life, and the struggle today, of living with HIV and how it compares to the dark days of this regime:

Bottom of Form

“My joy is a big fuck you to AIDS. My joy is a big f**k you to [Cankles]. Even in the most murderous days of the AIDS epidemic, we had a sense of humor … Putting an enormous condom over the home of Senator Jesse Helms was hilarious. Crisis hotlines are being unplugged. HIV prevention and treatment is being unplugged. People will die. It might not seem as immediate and in your face as what I had to face, but it’s there. I’m tired of internalizing that. I am fucking fabulous. I’m not going to take on the characteristics that people have put on this disease. If it’s going to live in me, it’s going to take on my characteristics, not the other way around. The collective voices of HIV positive people … are a roadmap to how we deal with adversity. It might be a cliché in the gay men’s community, at least, that you have a certain expiration date. Suddenly, you are invisible in the bars and the grocery stores. It takes a certain generosity of spirit from somebody like me to not want to go around and just tell my tragedy and instead say, this is something that happened to me that gives me the capacity to have more empathy for someone else, and that I can bring that experience into any conversation without saying it. All of those cameras in the ’80s trained on all of those white bodies. Why weren’t they trained on the Black allies that were there beside us? Because Black people dying was nothing new. It was new that white, privileged people were dying … The resistance today looks a lot more like our actual community. They often say about this current administration that cruelty is the point. Racism is the point. Transphobia is the point. That’s a winning strategy for them… So we cannot shy away from those political talking points that we think are losing points for us just because it makes people uncomfortable. There’s nothing wrong with being uncomfortable. It’s growth, and we need that growth in our own community. Don’t let them lop off letters from LGBTQ as if it will hold the wolves at bay a little longer. It’s not going to. They’re coming for all of us. [But] we paved the way. We put our bodies on the line so that somebody else might live better, longer, healthier. That’s good enough for me. Find the joy in the next piece of cake. Write outside the lines. Do something naughty… This is as corny as it gets, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned in 40 years, it’s that we are here to help somebody else. This life can be scary… and we’re here to make the ride a little less scary for someone else. Help somebody else. That’s the sort of thing you’re supposed to knit into a throw pillow, but it’s true.”

King has been through it all, more than once, and is here and still fighting HIV/AIDS stigma and now also fighting this fascist hate-filled regime.

Join in.

Mark Hertling, retired Lt. General, on Pete Hegseth’s speech before the military leaders:

“This was a disciplinary approach in public so the whole nation could see. And it was an attempt at separating the military institution from the people they defend. And I guarantee you that the people in that audience will not execute any illegal orders. We’ve been saying that for a long time.”

I hope he’s right; I hope our military leaders stand up against this authoritarian regime and stop this.

photo

Pink, singer and activist, on this regime:

“Let’s be clear: if you believe the government belongs in a woman’s uterus, a gay person’s business or marriage, or that racism is okay—then please, in the name of your Lord, never fucking listen to my music again. And also, fuck right off. We good?”

This is resistance and standing up and speaking up and we need more of it from our leaders and from our friends and neighbors.

photo

JB Pritzker, Illinois Democrat Governor, taking on the madness of Cankles:

“This is a man who’s suffering dementia. This is a man who has something stuck in his head. He can’t get it out of his head. He doesn’t read. He doesn’t know anything that’s up to date. It’s just something in the recesses of his brain that is effectuating to have him call out these cities. And then, unfortunately, he has the power of the military, the power of the federal government to do his bidding, and that’s what he’s doing.”

Remember when he and the GOP attacked Joe Biden? That’s the strategy; every GOP accusation is an admission.

photo

Nancy Pelosi, Democrat Representative and icon for the people, on Democrats versus Republicans:

“Democrats who created Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the ACA, all of that, are now being asked to reject that so we can give a tax cut to the rich. We’re not doing it. It isn’t a question of, ‘Let’s come back together so we can discuss it.’ That isn’t going to happen.”

Pelosi, putting the needs and wants of many, the ability to help those that need it most, over the greed and wants of a handful of narcissistic billionaires.

Once again, Nancy stands up to Cankles.

photo

Steve Schmidt, GOP strategist who ran John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign , on Cankles:

"[Cankles] has been the worst president this country has ever had. And, I don't say that hyperbolically. He is. But he is a consequential president. And, he has brought this country in three short years to a place of weakness that is simply unimaginable if you were pondering where we are today from the day where Barack Obama left office. And there were a lot of us on that day who were deeply skeptical and very worried about what a [Cankles] presidency would be. But this is a moment of unparalleled national humiliation, of weakness. When you listen to the President, these are the musings of an imbecile. An idiot. And I don't use those words to name call. I use them because they are the precise words of the English language to describe his behavior. His comportment. His actions. We've never seen a level of incompetence, a level of ineptitude so staggering on a daily basis by anybody in the history of the country whose ever been charged with substantial responsibilities. It's just astonishing that this man is president of the United States. The man, the con man, from New York City. Many bankruptcies, failed businesses, a reality show, that branded him as something that he never was. A successful businessman. Well, he's the President of the United States now, and the man who said he would make the country great again. And he's brought death, suffering, and economic collapse on truly an epic scale. And let's be clear. This isn't happening in every country around the world. This place. Our place. Our home. Our country. The United States. We are the epicenter. We are the place where you're the most likely to die from this disease. We're the ones with the most shattered economy. And we are, because of the fool that sits in the Oval Office behind the Resolute Desk.”

Take no prisoners. Every single vile, hate-filled, racist, fascist, criminal thing that happened here, from erasing history and transgender Americans, to invading our own cities, to denying healthcare to the poorest among us, can be traced back to the gelatinous, cankled traitor at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

I Didn't Say It ...

Gavin Newsom, California Democrat Governor, smacking down Nationalist Christian, AKA Nat C, Little Mike Johnson who suggested Newsom be "tarred and feathered" for opposing the regime’s attack on LA:

"Good to know we’re skipping the arrest and going straight for the 1700’s style forms of punishment. A fitting threat given the [fact that the] wants to bring our country back to the 18th Century."

Tarring and feathering was an incredibly cruel form of public torture that was first popularized in medieval times. The victim would be stripped naked, coated in hot tar, then doused in feathers and run out of town. Suggesting that such a punishment should be inflicted on a sitting governor amidst an ongoing crisis is irresponsible at best and a flagrant incitement to violence at worst.

And, more importantly, not very Christ-like but then Little Mike is no Christian.

photo

Rand Paul, Kentucky GOP Senator, on The Felon’s parade:

“Never been a big fan of goose-stepping soldiers in big tanks and missiles rolling down the street. So if you asked me, I wouldn’t have done it. I’m not sure what the actual expense of it is, but I’m not really—we were always different than the images you saw of the Soviet Union and North Korea. We were proud not to be that. I’m not proposing that that’s the image people want to project, but I’m worried about the image that it isn’t necessarily the best image to show.”

Paul was punished by being uninvited from a picnic at the White House; no, seriously, that’s The Felon’s response. Now, I don’t like Rand Paul, but I will give him a slow clap for speaking out against The Felon.

photo

Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat Senator, on The Felon’s part in the protests and government response in California:

“Now we have seen the President of the United States say that he would arrest a sitting governor … This is the hallmark of authoritarianism on the road to tyranny—and all Americans should be shocked and appalled by the President’s blatant disregard for our Constitutional system.”

Well, we can’t count on all Americans because most GOP politicians will stand forever with The Felon until he finally falls and then they try to rewrite history. And we cannot count on the cult because their ignorance precludes them from rational thought. That leaves Independents and Moderates and Democrats to stand up and speak up and resist and get our asses to the voting booth.

photo

Doechii, queer singer, on the regime’s anti-immigrant raids in LA during her acceptance speech at the 2025 BET Awards:

“There are ruthless attacks that are creating fear and chaos in our communities in the name of law and order. [The Felon] is using military forces to stop a protest, and I want y’all to consider what kind of government it appears to be when every time we exercise our democratic right to protest, the military is deployed against us. What type of government is that? People are being swept up and torn from their families, and I feel it’s my responsibility as an artist to use this moment to speak up for all oppressed people: For Black people, for Latino people, for trans people, for the people in Gaza. We all deserve to live in hope and not in fear, and I hope we stand together, my brothers and my sisters, against hate and we protest against it.”

Preach!!!

Everyone preach! Tell every person you know; to paraphrase a quote from AIDS protests of 35 years ago, Silence = Oppression.

photo

Jen Richards, transgender actress, who was hit by rubber bullets ICE, National Guard troops, and police against pro-immigration activists in LA:

We were in downtown LA today. Thousands of peaceful protestors showed up to demonstrate that we won't stand by as our neighbors get rounded up to appease the racist fever dreams of a President and his fragile ego. I was hit by flashbangs and rubber bullets, all while walking backwards with my hands up (and Rebekah Cheyne] was shoved in the chest with a police baton). I'm a rather fragile, sensitive, fight-with-my-words type, but sometimes shit goes too far and you gotta stand up for truth, liberty, and empathy. Now is that time … p.s. Flashbangs aren't too bad, they're loud and sting. Rubber bullets however ... tore through my docs!”

The regime will have you believe LA is on fire and burning to the ground and tens of thousands of people are looting and burning and breaking the law. Not so; it’s people standing up for people who are being denigrated and arrested and separated from families and homes and jobs because a little wannabe dick-tator who cried bone spurs can look tough.

Stand up to the bullies and watch them turn tail and run.
