Architecture Wednesday: Aspen Cabin

I always liked the idea of a simple rustic mountain cabin, where you could slip away for a quiet weekend to rejuvenate and relax and retreat.

But, since I’m a bit of a diva, simple and rustic just won’t cut it, but this 13,700 multi-bedroom, multi-bathroom, lodge-looking manse in the woods above Aspen will do just nicely.

And I can get it for just $13.9 million.

Of course, then I’d really need a place to relax and retreat and rejuvenate.

Architecture Wednesday: Willoughby Way

After a week in Nantucket, being pampered by sun, sand and surf, i decided I really needed to step back a little, and get away from it all.
I needed to recharge; I needed to down-size; I needed to rough it. And so I came to a little cabin in the Rockies, just outside Aspen, Colorado, where i could just relax and reinvigorate myself by my rustic surroundings. The house is built from trees felled on the property and stone quarried from nearby, so the outside is brought inside to add to that sense of comfort.
