I saw his win and the whole thing, from his expression to the faces in the audience was just sheer joy. I have never seen his show, never even heard of it actually, but the joy … aaaaaaah.

I will add that on inauguration Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was asked by the media if she would be in attendance and she replied, “I don’t celebrate rapists, so, No, I won’t be going.”

Isn’t it funny how women—Michelle Obama, Kamala Harris, AOC and Mariann Budde—speak out asking The Felon while men, even men on the left, say very little?

Had we elected a woman this wouldn’t have happened.

Alice didn’t want Tommy to go hunting with this guy [because of her] homophobia, her ignorance, her fear. [But] then she submits to the reality that they have made this plan and they’re going to go, and she grows up. She grows up. She accepts the situation. In a half hour, she grows up in what took us maybe as a generation, 100 years. [When Tommy returns he’s upset at shooting a deer] so, it went from the place of homophobia, of fear, of a strange invasion into her life of something she didn’t know how to handle, to something even more serious, which was a child’s loss of innocence. The more we come out of those closets, the more we accept each other, and I think that’s what television can do.”

President Joe Biden and Dr, Jill Biden, on Jimmy Carter’s passing:

I Didn't Say It ...

Pete Buttigieg, the outgoing Secretary of Transportation and the first out Cabinet secretary in U.S. history, had some advice, self-criticism, and a couple of mild rebukes for his political opponents in an interview with Rolling Stone:

“There’s a lot to be learned from Sarah McBride’s masterful handling of this on her way into Congress because what she said was: What the speaker’s doing is wrong. But I didn’t come here to fight over that. I came here to make life easier for people in Delaware who elected me. It immediately demonstrated [that Republicans] should be dealing with issues of utmost world-historical importance [rather than where] colleagues get to go to the bathroom.”

It’s not about bathrooms just like it wasn’t about drinking fountains or where you sat on a bus. It’s hate and fear used to keep people down and send fear out into the political landscape.

Sarah McBride, the first out transgender member of the US Congress, in her farewell speech to her Delaware Senate colleagues:

I was never one to let fear guide my decisions. I felt it was more important to live authentically. I remember being so proud [of playing one half of the gay couple Larry and Joe on Will & Grace, whose characters got married as the fight for equality revved u] It showed people that there was nothing to fear about two men getting married. I’m living proof that you can be who you are and still have a career. I’m proud of what I’ve done, and I hope that in some small way, I’ve helped open doors for others."

I imagine many doors opened for actors who came after Bagley. He stood up and out and proud and open and made people see him for who he is, not “what” he is.

They spent months—half a year, in fact—pursuing, trying to get those documents back with the participation and the consent of [The Felon] and his representatives. Numerous lawyers they consulted with. And in fact, at one point, [The Felon] team looked at what they had and only gave some of it back, therefore making the decision to continue to retain the rest of it, which we now know had, you know, dozens and dozens of classified documents in it. So it’s ridiculous. It’s not going anywhere. And the claims in the suit themselves are absurd.”

This is what happens when a self-entitled one-percenter thinks he’s above the law.

To retire at a rank, you must have held it for several years.”

Stack that up against JD Vance’s four years in the secretarial pool, and The Felon’s sore feet.

Pete Buttigieg, Secretary of Transportation, exposing JD Vance … again:

[The Felon] just gave a press conference where fact-checkers estimate that he told 162 distortions or lies that, frankly, is just impressive in terms of being able to physically do that. It’s like the Olympics of lying. So maybe just because it’s Sunday morning, I can’t stop thinking about the scripture that says, how can you look at your brother and say, let me take the speck out of your eye when you have a plank in your own eye?”

Once again, Pete nails it.
