Snarky Thoughts

Oh the signs of Spring … the Cardinals have returned to Camden and the daffodils are blooming … flowers are sprouting and Mo’Nique is once again talking her loathing of Oprah and Tyler Perry. A refresher? Okay … Mo’Nique was hired by Lee Daniels to co-star in Precious fourteen years ago and she did. But when it came time to distribute the film, Daniels needed some coins and called in Perry and Winfrey to pay those costs. Now those two egos asked Mo’Nique to go on a press tour for the film and she demanded payment and they said ‘No, that’s not how it works,’ and thus started Mo’Nique’s Woe Is Me tour.

My Thoughts: It’s been almost fifteen years, Mo, give it up; there are no Oprah coins coming your way and you sound ridiculous burping up the same story every year.

Grey’s Anatomy had Dr. McDreamy and Dr. McSteamy, but they also had Dr. Homophobe, AKA Isaiah Washington, who was fired from the show for a homophobic slur filled rant way back in Ott-Seven. Well, you know sometimes those who spew hate lose jobs and Washington’s mostly been working on joining the MAGAt cult and took to Twitter to announce his “early retirement from the entertainment industry.”

My Thought: Keep the hate to yourself, and you can keep your next job … at Starbucks.

PS You know what else is over, besides your career? Hats; seriously, why must I keep telling you people. Hats.Are.Over.

Cher confused us all at the end of 2022 when she posted a picture of a diamond ring she received from her new man, Alexander “AE” Edwards. It seemed like the diva was engaged but most feel like that was not the case. But now those same sources are saying that Cher’s sons, Chaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman are not at all pleased that mama may marry a man who is 17 years younger than Chaz and ten years younger than Elijah. They seem to think that Ae is after Cher’s coins and mama may just cut them out of the will if they continue this nonsense.

My Thought: By acting the fools over their mother’s relationship, the two sons might just be left with her coins, but it won’t because of AE it will be due to their own meddling.

50 Cent seems consumed with being a terrible father, of trolling Madonna, and declaring he doesn’t like getting his salad tossed, but right now, today, he’s defending the honor of his, ahem, unretouched penis. A few months ago, 50 filed a lawsuit when a picture he took with plastic surgeon Angela Kogan was posted alongside an interview she did with The Shade Room about penis enhancement surgery; he sued the doctor, the med spa she owns, and The Shade Room for implying he had his ding-a-ling lengthened. He ALLEGEDLY settled with The Shade Room for an undisclosed amount.

My Thought: We all know Fiddy has old pictures of his dick, so why not just whip it out and prove he didn't add a little length to his Two-Bit Dick.

That Woman, you know, the one who sold her daughter’s private sex tape to a porn company to make her demon spawn famous, has sparked rumors she’s engaged to longtime boyfriend Corey Gamble after flashing a massive diamond ring on social media. The ring, which featured a simple band with clear-cut stone sitting proudly in the center, is estimated to be worth over $1.2 million.

My Thought: How does That Woman’s boyfriend, who may or may not have a job other than being her sidepiece “bodyguard”, buy a $1.2 million ring?

I Ain't One To Gossip But ...

Another story of those self-entitled asshats who don’t care about the rules, or anyone other than themselves … and it features one Keanu Reeves.

The Matrix 4 recently wrapped filming in Germany and wanted to have a fabulous wrap party, but the country was under a partial lockdown and large gatherings were prohibited, so the producers got around the lockdown by claiming the party was actually being filmed as part of the movie.

Keanu and his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, were both in attendance, along with 200 other folks not wearing masks and not practicing social distancing. But hey, it was movie stars and why should they follow the rules or care if they’re endangering anyone else.

A spokeswoman for Studio Babelsberg, Bianca Makarewicz, said:

“According to the production, it was the last day of shooting. It was a celebration scene… Hygiene requirements were adhered to. The production deliberately put this shoot with many people involved at the end of the shoot.”

Except there was no filming going on … just superspreading.

George Clooney really is quite the friend. And quite a dick, in my mind. This week Clooney confirmed an old rumor that, back in 2013, he gifted his 14 closest friends with $1 million each:

“I just thought basically if I get hit by a bus, they’re all in the will. So why the f**k am I waiting to get hit by a bus?”

A few years ago, Clooney’s business partner BFF, Rande Gerber, told the story of Clooney inviting 14 friends for dinner and then surprising each one with a suitcase containing $1 million in cash.

Clooney says now that when he decided to gift all those coins to his friends, he was single, aging and didn’t expect to have a family. Now he’s married and the father of 3-year-old twins.

I just wonder, though, how much better it might have been if Clooney had given $14 million to a charity or a hospital or AIDS research, instead of a group of buddies.

Sad.

Man, Isaiah Washington can hold onto a grudge.

You might remember that back in 2007, Washington was fired from TV’s Grey’s Anatomy after calling costar T.R. Knight a homophobic slur during an on-set fight with another actor, Patrick Dempsey. Knight’s friend and costar, Katherine Heigl, defended him, and dragged Washington for filth, suggesting he should never be allowed to speak publicly.

And thirteen years later, Isaiah got bored and decided it was time to drag Heigl on Twitter:

“This woman once proclaimed that I should ‘never’ be allowed to speak publicly again. The world agreed with her proclamation back then and protested for my job and my head in 65 languages. I wish I was on Twitter in 2007, beause [sic] I will NEVER stop exercising my free speech.”

Isaiah furthered his attack against Katherine by answering responses from his fan, calling her a nobody, and even pulling producer Chandra Wilson into it:

“Your opinions are your own, but you are a fool, a liberal and misguided feminist to even try and defend this woman. You weren't there, so die on this hill, whoever you are. She could have cared less about her gay friend. Chandra Wilson knows all about that too.”

Katherine didn’t respond to Isaiah, but told a source—possibly Schmatherine Schmeigl—that she has no regrets about standing up for T.R. all those years ago:

“Katherine stood up for her close friend twice when Isaiah publicly outed him and called him a f—-t. That’s hate talk, not free speech. She is proud that she stood up for him. Katherine is and always will be an advocate and ally to the LGBTQ community.”

Nice how she props herself up, but then again, why not when someone crawls from the woodwork to rehash a thirteen-year-old argument.

Take a seat, Isaiah.

Self-entitled one percenter, and college scam criminal, Mossimo Giannulli is just days away from checking into prison to serve out his five-month sentence. His wife, and co-conspirator, Lori Loughlin, is in prison right now, and she was said to have boosted her immune system so she wouldn’t get The COVID while in the slammer.

Mossimo, however, took a different approach and decided to go full on bald-headed, goateed serial criminal. He’s practicing his prison lingo, learning to shower without bending over, lifting weights, learning the difference between ‘shiv’ and ‘shank’ and reminding himself that, in the Big House, he’ll be known as Aunt Becky … Bubba’s main bitch.

Sorry, not sorry.

I Didn't Say It ....

Sean Hayes, on his new sitcom, Sean Saves The World, not being “message driven” like The New Normal:
“Absolutely not. If that’s a byproduct of their viewing experience, fantastic. But it’s definitely not in the forefront of our minds when creating this show week-to-week. It’s making people laugh and telling great stories. I think with me playing a gay dad, the gay part should be the fifth most interesting thing about the character. It definitely doesn’t need to be focused on that just like in real life. So if it’s groundbreaking for being extra funny, great. But there is no agenda here other than to be funny.”

But, as in shows like The New Normal, you can send a message and make it funny. From what I’m hearing Sean Saves The World doesn’t even manage to do that.
I mean, why have a gay character if you’re not going to address the fact that he’s gay?

David Stern, NBA Commissioner, denouncing the new President of the IOC and the organization for not stepping up against human rights abuses.
“I’m gonna behave myself, for the record here, which is unlike me, but you know, the first phone call to the new head of the Olympics [was] from President [Vladimir] Putin, and everyone wants to talk about the Russian law on homosexuality. Think about the opportunities that sports have to make a continuing statement, and the only thing that we’re saying in that context is ‘Shhhh! No one say anything!’”

Sports are one of those things that are universal around the world, and sports can make a great impact on what’s happening in Russia if the athletes, the leagues, the managers, speak up.

Phyllis Schlafly, calling for the government to end all funding for, well, everybody and everything:
"We must shame and cut off taxpayers' money from the groups that killed the American family, including feminists, judges, legislators, public school teachers and administrators, so-called child protection agencies, professors, psychologists, college courses, government handouts and Democratic politicians who want big-government spending in order to win votes. The problem cannot be remedied by prohibiting same-sex marriage (even by a constitutional amendment) or by telling men to 'man up.'“

All I can think of to say is: “What a delusional, ridiculously stupid, Pat Robertson-in-a-dress-and-a-fright-wig, out-of-date, relic from the 50s.”
Oh, and I’d add, “Shut the f**k up.”

Gilles Marini, on if he would ever lie to help a famous gay friend stay closeted:
"We're in 2013. I think it's very uncool to be in the closet nowadays. I never was a witness in any wedding in my life, and the first time I was a witness in a wedding in my life was for my dear friends Philippe and David — same-sex couple — and I think it was fantastic. Don't stay in the closet. You'll only hurt your heart and, down the line, probably your family. They need to know the truth about what you like and what you want in life."

Word. From a hot guy.

Cher, on turning down an invitation to perform at the Sochi Games:
“I can’t name names but my friend called who is a big oligarch over there, and asked me if I’d like to be an ambassador for the Olympics and open the show. I immediately said no. I want to know why all of this gay hate just exploded over there. He said the Russian people don’t feel the way the government does.”

Seriously? In 2013 there’s a person in the world that thinks Cher … CHER … would perform for an anti-gay country like Russia.
Now, if they’d asked JLo and the check was big enough ….

Rachel Maddow, on the sudden crush that conservatives and anti-gay "pro-family" groups have on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"It’s one thing for the right to fall in love with its own politicians, to make Reagan a saint, Sarah Palin their own collective girlfriend, but the president of Russia, he is not that into you. Seriously, I know you guys hate President Obama, so it feels good to have a man-crush on somebody else, but this guy is the president of Russia. Zip it up, you guys, seriously. Have some respect."

It’s that conservative rightwingnut racism at work again. Putin and Obama have issues so the GOP falls all over themselves to align themselves with the leader of a country which seeks to punish people for being gay.
Remember that the next time you vote.

Bill Maher, on the GOP and their battle against all things Obama, including First Lady Michelle Obama’s programs to have kids eat healthy and drink more water:
"I saw in the news that Michelle Obama has a new program. You know she tried to get kids to eat better and Republicans were against that. And now she wants people to hydrate more, I’m not kidding, she says ‘Drink more water.’ I think this is a test to see if the Republicans will come out against water. That’s not water, that’s socialism juice!"

Apparently, the blowhards are already speaking out. Rush Limbaugh, who never met a chain of McDonalds that he didn’t want to eat and then wash down with illegally prescribed medications, while calling the First Lady “Moochelle” says, "We have real trouble, real problems in this country and around the world. What is this push to drink more water?  Now, we know that Bloomberg doesn't want people drink sweetened soft drinks, limiting the size to 16 ounces.  I'll tell you what I think it is.  I think there's an all-out assault on soda pop, soft drinks."
Funny how the fattest man on Earth, with a head filled with cheese and a gut stuffed with lard, can call the First Lady of the country a derogatory term.
Imagine if a liberal journalist had done the same to Laura Bush.

Isaiah Washington, former Grey's Anatomy co-star, on returning to acting and his claim that "an agenda" ruined his career following those anti-gay remarks — he called co-star TR Knight, a ‘fag’ — he made in 2007:
"I didn't have a choice. After the incident at the Golden Globes everything just fell apart. It literally stopped. Whatever the agenda, whatever the plan was it worked. I lost everything. I couldn't afford to have an agent. I couldn't afford to have a publicist for the crisis management to continue. I couldn't afford to continue. I went from 2 million dollars a year to residual checks. Zero. I couldn't get another apartment after I turned in my lease for my $3 million home. I had to put it in my wife's name. No one wanted to touch the name of Isaiah Washington for three years."

And it’s all someone else’s fault, eh, Isaiah? Then why did you apologize if you never said it? And why wait three years to expose this “agenda”?
The fact is, you made a mistake and called someone by a derogatory name, and people, in the industry stopped wanting to work with you. I’d hoped you would have learned from your mistake but you’ve gone back to the lie that it never happened.

Nice Mouth. You Eat With That Thing?

Y'all remember when Isaiah Washington, formerly of Grey's Anatomy, allegedly used the term 'faggot' when referring to T.R. Knight and Perez Hilton got his granny panties in a bunch and began posting ad nauseum that Washington be fired for using such a word?

Y'all remember? Good.

Because now Perez is in the hot seat for the exact same thing. He got into a verbal sparring match with will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. Things were said, voices raised, and I think Perez broke a nail. But, and this is the part that galls me, Perez called will.i.am a faggot.

Uh-huh.

Perez Hilton: And that is when I made the split-second decision - that I was gonna say what I thought was the worst possible thing that thug [will.i.am] would ever want to hear. As I was standing my ground - without being violent or physical which I would never do - I told him - and you know what? I don’t need to respect you and you’re a f**. You’re gay and stop being such a f***ot.

So, a gay man, who has spent the past month railing against Carrie Prejean for her opinion on gay marriage, decides to hurl an anti-gay epithet as a derogatory statement? How can we expect to move forward when we have asshats like Perez Hilton taking us down with his words.

GLAAD issued a statement today in response to Hilton’s video: These are vulgar anti-gay slurs that feed a climate of hatred and intolerance toward our community. For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person by saying that it is, quote, ‘The worst possible thing that thug would ever want to hear,’ is incredibly dangerous. It legitimizes use of a slur that is often linked to violence against our community. And it sends a message that it is OK to attempt to dehumanize people by exploiting anti-gay attitudes.
We have reached out to Hilton and asked him to apologize for promoting this anti-gay slur, and we would ask media outlets to avoid repetition of the slur in their coverage of this story.

I would ask that Perez Hilton just STFU.
You do not represent the gay community. You never did.
You are a hypocritical fame-whore.

UPDATE:
The Asshat Known As Perez, who says in a video he posted online that he would never use this situation for publicity or fame because he "doesn't need it" has responded to GLAAD by saying:

"I am saddened GLAAD chose to victimize me further by criticizing me for how I non-violently dealt with a very scary situation that, unfortunately, turned violent. While I doubt I will get an apology from GLAAD, nor do I expect one, I would just hope people know how difficult it is to intellectualize a situation and think rationally when a thug disguised as a musician is screaming at your face and intimidating you. I am just very fortunate and grateful that nothing more serious happened to me."

Pay attention--and don't go all Theresa on Real Housewives of New Jersey and toss a table at me--asshat. GLAAD is disgusted, as am I, that you chose to hurl an anti-gay epithet at someone, when you use your own blog to bash others who've done the same. They do not, did not, have not, condoned anyone hitting you.

Asshat.

Grow up. Take some responsibility and stop with the "Leave-Britney-Alone"-type video blogs.

You only make yourself look worse, if that's even a possibility.
