Bobservations

Carlos thinks he’s funny. He’s a lot of things, sweet and smart and kind but he’s acquired taste of funny; he likes to make up jokes … like the email he sent to his friend Ellen who had a birthday last week. He wrote her a poem about aging joke and, yes, those can be funny if you’re turning forty or fifty, but when you’re turning 70+ a joke about how you started your life in diapers and you’ll be ending your life in diapers, is not necessarily funny to everyone.

Ellen was not amused—but to be fair, Ellen has no sense of humor.

But then later that same day I was purging the kitchen of things we didn’t need, don’t use, don’t want and I came across this oddly-shaped whisk; it looks like a large cone-shaped spring on a handle—perhaps a potato masher—and we don’t use it so I opted to donate it. Then Carlos saw it and said maybe he’d send it to his friend Byron who might like it as a sex toy, and I said:

“Honey. Honey. Sweetie. You’re not funny. You’re cute as a bug’s ear, sweet as all get out, and kinder than a pack of singing nuns in a Disney movie, but you’re not known for the funny.”

He put down the whisk.

Tuxedo and Max Goldberg like to sneak off for a 'nap'. Yeah, that's it......nap.

My two handsome men!

Consuelo Roca Jones. Hey, if she doesn't know I'm taking her picture, I don't get the stink eye!

And speaking of stink eye, Tallulah was giving it on the down-low when I caught her playing with Consuelo's toy.

And Ozzo, poor Ozzo. He begged not to be included on Caturday. He.Begged.

JD Vance gave a speech in which he noted that “we are about to celebrate the 25th year” of 9/11.

Celebrate? I think you mean commemorate dumbass because we are not celebrating the murders of 3,000 Americans.

Ever.

Sixteen years ago, Google pulled its search engine out of China because they chose not to submit to an authoritarian government.

Today they are renaming lakes because a fascist, sitting on the toilet at 2AM, told them so.

I have been watching Westies about New York in the 70s and the Irish and Italian mob going head-to-head. It’s good; gritty and dirty and then, of course, hot.

And by hot I mean that guy up there, Tom Brittney, who plays James, the good bad guy. He looks good in his jeans and even better out of his jeans..

Smolder.

Just as I have never called that bloated, farting, diaper-shitting, racist, rapist, pedophile, grifting criminal my president,. I will never call the Gulf of Mexico by any other name, nor will I ever call Lake Ontario anything other than Lake Ontario. And the Kennedy Center will always be the Kennedy Center.

This is all a deflection for his inept ability to fix the economy, stop a war he started for no reason, and keep us from finding out how many young children he raped on Epstein’s Island.

Flock CEO Garrett Langley thinks you don’t deserve the right to privacy so his Flock Cameras are going up everywhere to watch you, but … Langley has blurred his house in Google maps because he thinks he deserves the right to privacy.

Think on that.

Why Is It ... But First ....

… that people need to remember that the TV is always on in my house because it’s my emotional support background noise.

… that the other day I told my boss I was going to the bathroom, burt didn’t say which one, and so I just went home.

… that when I tell people I’m in a good place right now, I don’t mean emotionally, I mean at a bar with good drink specials.

… that people named Debra will go by Deb but never Bruh.

… that while the best response is no response, but since I have a smart mouth you’re gonna hear from me.

… that I am a good person up until I see someone driving the speed limit in the left lane.

… that I just realized that I have reached that age where I am bothered by lights left on, open doors, loud noises … and people.

… that people need to know that once I unfriend you I will go to your profile and unlike my likes, unlove my loves, unwow my wows, and I will even unhaha my hahas.

… that some people need to know that I am in the the studio writing a diss track about them. Be afraid.

Bobservations

With Carlos’ vision issues, we’ve had to change the way things are done at Casa Bob y Carlos, and one of the things we changed was the setting of the thermostat. We keep it set for heat at 68-degrees, and for the AC at 80-degrees and it works just fine. But Carlos had difficulty seeing the settings and so I set it for him, explaining that there are three buttons along the bottom of the thermostats and the far right one turns everything on.

“Push once for heat. I have it set at 68 and so the heat will come on if it’s colder than that.”

Carlos thought he needed to raise the heat so a couple of times this past winter I came home to find the heat on at 78 degrees. The same for the AC.

“Push the button twice for the AC. I have it set at 80 and it’ll come on when it gets too hot in the house.”

I came home the other day and it was 67 degrees in the house which, yes, should mean he’d want the heater on but …

Anyway, he found a smart thermostat that is voice activated and wondered if we should get one, and I said:

“If it helps you set the heating and cooling let’s get it, but just remember if we leave the heat set at 68 and AC set at 80, we never have to adjust, we just need to push the right button once or twice.”

“I think the voice activated one is better for me.”

“Why? Does it speak Spanish?”

It doesn’t, but he did, and very colorfully I might add.

After the recent cheering by the right at the thought of Roe v Wade being overturned coupled with this latest vote, it isn’t any clearer that the GOP only cares about a fetus, and not a child.

And they don’t care about women, or mothers, at all.

Eric Clapton who fought against COVID mask mandates for his tour last year has COVID must cancel the remaining dates on this leg of his tour.

If only there was something he could have done …

Sorry, not sorry, Covidiot.

We’ve been watching The First Lady on Showtime, which tells the stories of Michelle Obama, played by Viola Davis, Betty Ford played by Michelle Pfeiffer, and Eleanor Roosevelt played by Gillian Anderson.

I adore Viola, but her performance seems more caricature because she changed the way she moves her mouth, pursing her lips in way that seems unnatural to her, though reminiscent of Obama. Anderson is good as Eleanor, though she comes across as quite frail and I never got that impression by reading about Eleanor Roosevelt.

But Michelle Pfeiffer is brilliant as Betty Ford. Subtle, quiet; she reveals the character sometimes without saying a word. I’ve always liked Pfeiffer and thought her a good actor, but she’s amazing in this. The last episode dealt with Betty Ford's mastectomy and Michelle Pfeiffer slayed that role.

I’d watched her alone as Betty Ford.

In the wake of these two latest mass shootings in the United Sates of Guns, ALLEGED mad of ‘g’od Franklin Graham posted to Facebook that only a relationship with Jesus Christ can stop gun violence.

Really, Frank? Really, Cuz, there have been 198 shootings in this country so far this year so please tell me when Jesus is gonna stop the madness.

Or maybe he’s too busy picking winning basketball teams and baseball games.

Fuck all the way off, charlatan.

Jake Daniels, Blackpool soccer forward, has become the first player in the UK to come out as gay since Justin Fashanu in 1990. At just seventeen, Jake made his senior debut for the Blackpool club this month, but wants to be a role model for others in the game by coming out:

“Now is the time to do it. I feel like I am ready to tell people my story. I want people to know the real me.”

Welcome out, Jake, and please accept as our gift from HOMO HQ a copy of the Gay Agenda and the Official Coming Out Toaster Oven™.

Welcome out.

Ps He’s a hot little nugget.

Talk about a snowflake … according to ex-Secretary of Defense Mark Esper’s memoir, A Sacred Oath, Thing 45 once demanded that former General Stan McChrystal and former Admiral William McRaven be recalled into active duty just so that they could be court-martialed for criticizing Thing 45.

Seriously, what a little bitch.

Amid the political backlash with the GOP over Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ law, Disney will be donating ALL the profits from its pride merchandise to charities that help the LGBTQ+ community like GLSEN, PFLAG, The Trevor Project, Zebra Coalition, Los Angeles LGBT Center, LGBT Center Orange County, San Francisco LGBT Center, and the Ali Forney Center.

Mickey has zero fucks to give.

Meghan McCain wrote a book after leaving The View that she called Bad Republican: A Memoir in which she “expresses how it is to feel like you no longer fit in with your political party.” The book first came out as an audio book and when a paperback version was released it sold … 244 copies. Ouch.

PS I imagine that hair pin cost her more than the book made.

This is Carlos Lazo, an Italian fitness model, and the question is quite simple: Would You Hit It?

Bobservations

First story: as we inch toward Halloween I would like to share the three scariest words in my life; it’s Carlos saying:

“I … was … thinking … ”

Shivers.

Second story: because we are such true romantics, we decided that the 20th anniversary gift is garden equipment, so we bought a new lawn mower.

Who said romance is dead? Not me!

If you were looking for a good reason to vote, Tuxedo says you should think of it like this:

I am dying over here because my favorite serial killer is coming back to TV.

Showtime has announced that Dexter will be back next year, with star Michael C. Hall, for 10 new episodes.

I’m here for the Bay Harbor Butcher again.

Merriam-Webster dictionary has changed “sexual preference” to be an “offensive” term  after SCOTUS nominee Amy Coney Barrett used the term—twice—and didn’t acknowledge it, or faux-pologize, until Senator Mazie Hirono took her to task for it; the dictionary says:

“The term preference as used to refer to sexual orientation is widely considered offensive in its implied suggestion that a person can choose who they are sexually or romantically attracted to.”

Merriam-Webster confirmed the change was made because of Barrett’s homophobia.

It’s not just ReTHUGlicans who are despicable, sometime Democrats are just as asshatted.

Last week Georgia state Representative Vernon Jones, a conservative MAGAt-loving, _____-supporting Democrat, crowdsurfed over a packed, mostly maskless crowd at ______’s superspreader rally in Macon.

Again, I don’t wish the virus on anyone, but if Jones were to come down with COVID-19 I might not really care.

From the Stupid File comes ______, who warned a crowd at a Corona-palooza rally in Nevada that Joe Biden would “listen to the scientists” if elected.

Oh no! Not science! ______ then added:

“If I listened totally to the scientists, we would right now have a country that would be in a massive depression.”

I guess millions and millions out of work doesn’t matter as long as the markets go up.

Cast a goddamned vote!!

More stupid? CNN analyst and New Yorker contributor Jeffrey Toobin was caught masturbating on a Zoom “election simulation” in front of prominent journalists and producers.

Seriously? A grown-ass man in the middle of a zoom call, takes a break and decides to whip out his dick for a few strokes, without turning off the camera?

The New Yorker has suspended Toobin, and he has taken a leave from CNN.

Moving on to The Liar File … a few weeks ago ______ said he would spend up to $100 million of his own money on his reelection bid. Cut to October and ______ has contributed about $8,000.

Maybe he doesn’t really want it this time … or he’s broke … so let’s give him his wish.

Cast a goddamned vote!

Last week SCOTUS declared that Pennsylvania mail-in ballots that are received up to three days after the election must be counted,  and this week a U.S. federal appeals court left in place North Carolina’s plan for counting absentee ballots that arrive after Election Day.

A smackdown for _____,  but a win for democracy and free and fair elections.

Despite a federal judge's order that the US reunite families separated at the border under _____’s "no tolerance" immigration policy, the parents of 545 children still can't be found.

Thanks America; you’re complicit in stealing children from their parents. How proud we must be.

This week Pope Francis called for the passage of civil union laws for same-sex couples.

Look at that! The Pope and, by extension, the Catholic Church, have finally arrived … in 2000. How long before they join the rest of us in 2020?

After all this rubbish, I need a beefy hunk to cleanse my palate … so here’s Tom Berklund, an out Broadway actor, singer, dancer, and, as you can see, a very hot man.

He sings, he dances, he poses in his underwear …

Okay
