I Ain't One To Gossip But ...

Remember Chris Hansen from To Catch A Predator? I’m guessing his new show is Catch a Check Bouncer because that’s what Hansen was arrested for in Connecticut this week.

Hansen ALLEGEDLY bounced $13,000 worth of checks to a company called Promotional Sales Limited for branded items like mugs, t-shirts and vinyl decals. And then to top that off, he was evicted from his NYC apartment for owing some $4,000 in back rent.

But hey, go bounce a check for a t-shirt, dude. Oh, and to make matters worse, Hansen’s soon to be ex-wife, Mary Joan, wants alimony and a “fair division of property and debts.”

Oh honey, the man cannot buy a coffee mug without bouncing a check and you think there’s alimony? No … no.
And speaking of someone who wants the coins, ex-CBS head, and sexual predator, Les Moonves is demanding his $120 million payout from CBS, even though the network has already said “Dee-nied.”

CBS reached its decision after a three-month investigation into how Moonves behaved while at the network, and they uncovered all sorts of pervy shiz … like ALLEGATIONS of Moonves forcing oral sex on aspiring actresses and maybe cancelling Cybill when Cybill Shepherd refused to sleep with him.

Even worse, Julie Chen Moonves is now totally relying on CBS and Big Brother to pay the bills at Chez Moonves … until she evicts Les from the house.
I guess it pays to be the asshat son of a famous person, because Lionel Richie’s son, Miles Brockman Richie, is a free man aafter ALLEGEDLY claiming he was in possession of a bomb—which he threatened to detonate—and then punching a security guard at London’s Heathrow Airport because he was denied entry to a flight.

Richie was given a “caution” for “communicating false information, battery, and causing a bomb hoax” after authorities discovered he was lying about the explosives. In England, receiving a “caution” means the person involved accepts responsibility for their actions and is allowed to go on their way without being arrested or charged.

Seriously? Lock that asshatted, terrorist up.
I love me some Leslie Jones. I love her loud mouth and her irreverent sense of humor. But today, Leslie, honey, take a seat.

This week Jason Reitman  he was rebooting Ghostbusters, the movie his father, Ivan Reitman, directed in the 1980s. Jason says his reboot will forgive [forget] the all-female Ghostbusters that came out a minute ago, and be an actual sequel to his dad’s movie. And that sent Jones over … the … edge …
So insulting. Like fuck us. We dint count. It’s like something _____ would do. ‘Gonna redo ghostbusteeeeers, better with men, will be huge. Those women ain’t ghostbusteeeeers’ ugh so annoying. Such a dick move. And I don’t give fuck I’m saying something!!”
And I’ll say something …Leslie? Did you see the all-female remake? It sucked. It wasn’t funny. It was bad. You should be thrilled for this sequel because it’ll make people forget your version.

Love you.
Chris Brown. He’s been in Paris recently, attending fashion shows—which begs the question: why do designers need Chris Brown at their shows? But, ALLEGEDLY, he was doing something else.

See, Brown and some members of his entourage were arrested for assault and suspicion of rape after a 24-year-old woman claims Brown assaulted her in a hotel suite in Paris earlier this month.

Brown, like he did when he beat up Rihanna—which doesn't necessarily mean that he's a rapist—has yet to comment on the ALLEGATIONS but, I believe Chris Brown is the guy that beats up his girlfriend and leaves her by the side of the road. I believe he’s the guy abuses, stalks and harasses his ex-girlfriend to the point where she doesn’t feel safe being alone with him. I believe he’s the guy who meets a girl in a bar and invites her to his hotel room and rapes her.

It’s called escalating.
I’m a cynic. Sue me.  But this Bryan Singer mess, and Rami Malek’s ”Who? What?” attitude? Not.Buying.It.

Bryan Singer directed more than half of Bohemian Rhapsody before leaving the film under a storm of controversy that he had missed days and days of work, that other people had to step in to complete the film, and that Singer and Malek clashed on the set and that Singer even “threw an object” at Rami. And this all happened around the time that Singer was sued again for raping another teenage boy. Sidenote: four more accusers have come forward this past week saying Singer fondled them or raped them when they were teenagers working on one of his films.

But here’s my thing …the stories of Singer and underage boys have been around for years, long before Bohemian Rhapsody was a thought, and before anyone even knew Rami Malek. And yet Malek is now saying he’d never ever heard the stories about Singers ALLEGEDLY infamous Boy Pool Parties?

Sorry, Rami, but if I could hear the story here in Smallville, surely you heard the story in Hollywood, especially after you announced you’d be working with Singer.

Just sayin’.
We all know Lady Gaga is thirsty for Oscar because then she can carry it around as a prop in case she runs into Madonna and can shove it in Madge’s face, so does anyone … anyone … actually believe Gaga when she said this about the Oscar nomination for A Star is Born:
“I didn’t know anything about it.”
Yes, Lady Gaga who has been campaigning for an Oscar for months now, says she actually slept through the nominations and didn’t wake up until three hours later.

You woke up three hours after your nomination was announced and no one … no one … called you to share the news?

Sure, Lady, sure.

It's Snarkurday!

Bryan Singer is a well-known and respected director of films like The Usual Suspects and four of the X-Men films, but he’s also been the subject of a lot of rumors about how he abuses young men. Now, to be fair, it’s mostly whispers, like when actor Noah Galvin muttered something and then apologized about it last year, but there were a couple of lawsuits: Michael Egan filed sued Singer and two other men, accusing them of sexually abusing him when he was a minor, and a second suit by an unnamed British man claimed something similar, but nothing ever came of either story. Still, the rumors, and in the wake of Weinstein, Spacey, Lauer et al, people wondered when the other shoe would drop on Singer.

And maybe it has, or is about to, because Fox has unexpectedly halted production on Singer’s Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, due to the “unexpected unavailability” and “a personal health matter” for Singer; meaning no one knows where he is. Singer did not return to set after the Thanksgiving holiday, leaving producers nervous about the production and talking about potentially replacing him. So,is a story about to break? Stay tuned …

UPDATE:  Bryan Singer has been fired from Bohemian Rhapsody according to Twentieth Century Fox, because of a growing clash between Singer and actor Rami Malek—at whom Singer ALLEGEDLY threw something—and actor Tom Hollander, who plays Queen manager Jim Beach, who briefly quit the film due to Singer’s behavior, but was persuaded to return.

Singer has switched his story from a “personal health issue” to saying he is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder because of the tensions on the set. Now, I call bull shiz on that one since the tension on the set is mostly due to Singer’s behavior. But we’ll need to wait and see if there’s more there…

And there is … Singer is now being sued for the ALLEGED rape of a 17-year-old boy at a party on a yacht in Seattle in 2003. The suit claims it was a party populated by young gay males, including the plaintiff, Cesar Sanchez-Guzman, who says Singer offered to take him on a tour of the yacht. And when they got to a bedroom, Guzman says Singer thrust his body on Guzman, forced him to the floor, shoved Guzman’s face against his crotch and demanded he perform oral sex. Guzman says Singer pulled out his penis, smacked him in the face with it and forced it into his mouth. The suit goes on to ALLEGE that Singer forcibly performed oral sex on Guzman and also forcibly anally penetrated him.

Guzman says Singer told him that he was a producer in Hollywood and could help Cesar get into acting as long as Cesar never said anything about the incident; Singer also ALLEGEDLY said no one would believe him if he ever reported the incident, and that he could hire people who are capable of ruining someone’s reputation.

Singer is denying those claims, saying he is suffering health issues related to the stress he endured caring for an ill parent:
“I wanted nothing more than to be able to finish this project and help honor the legacy of Freddie Mercury and Queen, but Fox would not permit me to do so because I needed to temporarily put my health, and the health of my loved ones, first….Bohemian Rhapsody is a passion project of mine. With fewer than three weeks to shoot remaining, I asked Fox for some time off so I could return to the U.S. to deal with pressing health matters concerning one of my parents. This was a very taxing experience, which ultimately took a serious toll on my own health.  Unfortunately, the studio was unwilling to accommodate me and terminated my services. This was not my decision and it was beyond my control.”
And perhaps, the stress of an approaching lawsuit?
Remember last week when Halle Berry said she was done with relationships and needed “a minute” for herself, and then took a new boyfriend, Alex da Kid, on vacation with her?

Maybe she meant she wanted a one minute relationship because Halle dumped Alex on that vacation.

But wait, there’s another minute coming up …
Nothing worse than a has-been actress, best known for the way her boobs bounced in slow motion and her marriages and divorces, speaking out about sexual abusers. Amirite Pamela Anderson?

It seems Pammy thinks Harvey Weinstein’s victims should have known better; known better than to go to a meeting their agent set up; known better than to have a conversation with a well-known producer; known better than to dress a certain way.  And, in an interview with Desperate Megyn Kelly, Anderson said:
“It was common knowledge that certain producers or certain people in Hollywood or people to avoid, privately. You know what you’re getting into if you’re going into a hotel room alone.”
Odd words coming from a woman who has detailed her own experiences with sexual abuse as a young actress, but she does go on:
“I know that Hollywood is very seductive and these people want to be famous. Sometimes you think you’re going to be safe with an adult in the room. I don’t know where this security comes from, but somehow I’ve dodged it all. I’ve been offered lots of things. A condo and a Porsche to be someone’s number one girl. I just naively said, ‘Well there must be a number two then, so I’m not interested.’ Money, homes, roles in movies. And I just didn’t want to do it that way. I had no desire. I’m a romantic and it didn’t appeal to me.”
So, you escaped being the victim of sexual assault, but you then blame any other woman who was a victim? Siddown, Has-Been.
In another case of a sexual predator losing their job we have Danny Masterson, who was fired from the Netflix comedy, The Ranch, after stories broke that he raped four women years back.

Masterson’s firing comes amid the news that the LA County District Attorney and LA Police Department are investigating the allegations.

One thing I find troubling is that Masterson is a Scientologist and the Church Cult of Scientology has provided the LAPD with fifty affidavits, no doubt all given by Scientologists, that Masterson says proves he didn’t assault anyone.

And we know the Co$ doesn’t lie, right?
And then there was Geraldo Rivera defending Matt Lauer after his story of being the Pervy Guy at NBC broke, and the world was reminded that Geraldo used to be, and might still be, a member of that same club.

In fact, the Divine Miss M, Bette Midler reminded him, and everyone else, of the time she accused Rivera of drugging and groping her.

See, in the 70s, Geraldo interviewed Bette and she claimed, way back in the 90s in a Barbara Walter’s interview, that Rivera and a producer shoved poppers under her nose and pushed her into the bathroom where they groped her. And now, in the light of Lauer and Rose and Keillor, Geraldo has come forward to apologize, sort of:
“27 years ago I wrote a tawdry book depicting consensual events in 1973-45 years ago-I’ve deeply regretted its distasteful & disrespectful tone & have refrained from speaking about it-I’m embarrassed & profoundly sorry to those mentioned-I have & again apologize to anyone offended. [And] although I recall the time [Midler] has alluded to much differently than she, that does not change the fact that she has a right to speak out & demand an apology from me, for in the very least, publically [sic] embarrassing her all those years ago. Bette, I apologize.”
Wow, so he admits he did it, but says it wasn’t exactly like she said? Take a seat alongside Pammy, Geraldo, and keep your hands to yourself.
Matt Lauer, unemployed predator, has ALLEGEDLY decided to go after some coins from NBC by demanding a huge payout after the network fired him for his pervy ways. Lauer’s lawyers are working on a plan to snag $30 million for the Early Morning Predator since he had a year and a half left on his $20 million-a-year contract when he was canned.

So, he thinks he deserves it. Well, I say give it to him and let all the women he harassed, exploited, fondled, groped, and ridiculed all line up for a lawsuit seeking hundreds of millions in damages.

Matt? Go.Away. Like, um, your wife?

The current Missus Lauer, Annette Roque, is, and has been, out of the picture for years … probably about the time she realized her husband, despite all the coins, was a pervert.
It seems that they have been living apart since, well, the time she first filed for divorce amidst claims that he was emotionally abusive and cruel to her.

Sure, they eventually reconciled, but it appears they basically lived separate lives since then.

I’d like to add Annette’s name to the long list of women who should sue Lauer for every penny in his pocket.
TV star—and I use the term loosely—Katherine McPhee, who is ALLEGEDLY dating decades older composer David Foster, accidentally crashed a weekend wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and was kicked out by the bride.

And McPhee, who was with producer pal Hilary Shor, decided to bash the bride on social media because that’s what grown folks do, you know.

Shor posted their snarky commentary about the incident to Instagram, calling the bride who denied the wedding crashers entry to her nuptials a “loser.”

One video, captioned “Bride Bitch,” shows McPhee in her room snottily noting:
“What bride does her own wedding security? If you’re doing your own security, you have a problem.”
I guess McPhee thought she could off a Beyoncé move, crashing a wedding and being welcomes, but McPhee is not Beyoncé, she’s, well, not really anyone.

Like I said, Grown Folks.
Selena Gomez was honored by Billboard Magazine as their woman of the year but it was something Billboard did, something so horrible, which forced Gomez to close her Instagram account…

Selena was offended that the Billboard journalist saw a giant teddy bear in her house and wrote about it. And, before turning her account private, Gomez took to Instagram to vent:
Never will I let another human guess my words ever again. Or invite them in my home. That is so hurtful. The most ‘ridiculous’ part of that is no one knowing my heart when I say things.”
Note to Billboard: teddy bears are off limits … especially when the “star” is so childish.
Update: A day after being Teddy Bear Offended, Gomez has once more opened the doors to her Instagram account, and tweens everywhere breathed a sigh of relief.
Earlier, we had Katherine McPhee crashing a wedding and then acting the bitch on social media, and now we have Fergie getting Hot Mess Drunk at The Trevor Project’s TrevorLIVE L.A. Gala.

Fergie was seated at the head table next to Husband-In-My-Head Armie Hammer and the night’s honoree, Tom Ford and was getting her Happy on with fellow tablemates Elizabeth Chambers and Isla Fisher. But, when Armie got up to present Tom his award, Dronk Fergie made her move and actually walked onstage to interrupt him in what some thought was a planned move but quickly realized was a Liquor Induced Plan because Fergie started to sing … badly. Armie Hammer looked like he needed a shoulder to cry on and, damn, I wasn’t there!

Fergie finally left the stage and Armie gave the award to Ford but Fergie was far from done; when Shoshannah Bean took the stage to give the evening’s final performance, something happened, a technical glitch or something, and Fergie again made her move. She saw her victim, an unattended microphone, and leapt to the stage to croak out “A Little Work” and try to get the stunned audience to join in.

Many in the crowd were supportive of Fergie, and Isla and Elizabeth were recording her with their phones, but most people were stunned.

Look out partygoers, Fergie has a new album coming out and will apparently use any event to promote it … even when she’s not invited to do so.
Fresh from jail after beating up her hsuabnd on the streets of a tiny West Virginia town, Naya Rivera flew back to LA and quickly filed for divorce from Ryan Dorsey for the second time.

Naya cited “irreconcilable differences” and is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their 2-year-old son Josey, and has asked the judge to block both of them from getting spousal support.

I guess she has some Glee coins left? The best part, though, is that Naya listed the date of their separation as November 24th, one day before she was arrested and charged with domestic battery for beating on Ryan during walk.

I guess they wanted one last walk, and one last punch, before ending it all?

An Open Letter To Noah Galvin

I don’t really know you, Noah, but I’ve been watching your TV show, The Real O’Neals, where you, an openly gay actor, play an openly gay character on a show created by openly gay Dan Savage. It’s kind of a cute show, bordering on, and wanting to be, edgy, but falling into that typical situation comedy trap of set-up and joke, set-up and joke.

But this isn’t about your show, this is about how you don’t seem to be able to think before you speak; and this is something I know about, because I’ve been known to rant uncontrollably though, in your case, what you did was beyond … I mean, how else are we to explain that, during an interview with Vulture, you seemed to sharpen your fangs and dig right into just about everyone, most of whom you don’t even know, apparently.

You started off tame enough in the interview, bemoaning the fact that Hollywood tends to stereotype actors and since you’re playing a “funny gay kid” on TV you might always be seen as that. But then you decided to go after other actors, though, for the life of me, I cannot figure why.

When the subject of fellow actor Colton Haynes’ recent coming out came up, and how Colton may have teased on social media for a few months that maybe he was gay before he actually said the words, this was your take:
“That’s not coming out. That’s fucking pussy bullshit. That’s like, enough people assume that I sleep with men, so I’m just going to slightly confirm the fact that I’ve sucked a dick or two. That’s not doing anything for the little gays but giving them more masturbation material.
Wow. So, you’ve has appointed himself the HOMO Director of Coming Out for the LGBT Community? I mean, we all come out when we want, when we need, when we feel it’s the right thing to do; sure, you probably came out after coming out from the womb, but that doesn’t mean everyone else has to follow your lead. So Colton Haynes chose his late twenties to come out. Who cares? I wonder what your take on Joel Grey might be since he waited until his 80s before saying, “I’m gay.” Is Joel a pussy, too, or is Colton a pussy because he teased about it?

But you quickly moved on from Colton Haynes, to Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet and what you call his “gay minstrel performance” on TV:
“I’ve thrown Eric Stonestreet under the bus a solid seven times this week. … I think as wonderful of an actor as Eric Stonestreet is — I’ve never met him, I assume he’s a wonderful guy — he’s playing a caricature of a caricature of a stereotype of stereotype on Modern Family. And he’s a straight man in real life. And as hilarious as that character is, there’s a lack of authenticity. I think people — especially young gay kids — they can laugh at it, and they can see it as a source of comedy, but like, nothing more than that. And I want Kenny to be more than the funny gay kid.
Um, Noah, open your eyes and take a good long look at the LGBT community; we are all kinds of people, from muscle men to mincing queens to nerds to jocks to … whatever; and however we are, however we act, we should never be demeaned for it. And that’s what you did when you mocked Eric Stonestreet’s character; you mocked every single effeminate and flamboyant and dramatic queen out there. But here’s the queer deal, Noah: some of us are like that, and some of us are not. And when we have to fight for recognition and are denigrated by people who hate The Gays because of the way some of us act, well, that is awful; but when one of our own denigrates us, that wound is more hurtful. Gay is all kinds of people, all colors and sizes and mannerisms and you need to remember that.

Of course, Noah you also decided to go after an “unnamed” guest actor on your show:
“There was a kid who guested on our show. He was flirting with me so blatantly, to the point where he asked me out a few times. At one point I turned to him and was like, Are you gay? And he was like, Well … I don’t know. I’m more like, go with the flow. And I was like, Shut the fuck up. Get out of my face with your wishy-washy bullshit answer. You’re a fucking faggot. Like, I know you are. You know you are. Stop beating around the bush. Just go make out with me in my dressing room.
Are you trying to be funny, Noah, because you missed the mark. Maybe that guest actor was flirting with you because you are an openly gay man and he might be a little closeted and trying to find his way and this is how you speak to him? You really should be ashamed of yourself. But that isn’t the worst of your problems with saying whatever seems to pop in your head; it got worse when you talked about openly gay director Bryan Singer, who recently fought off an unproven allegation that he molested young boys:
“Yeah. Bryan Singer likes to invite little boys over to his pool and diddle them in the fucking dark of night. I want nothing to do with that. I think there are enough boys in L.A. that are questionably homosexual who are willing to do things with the right person who can get them in the door. In New York there is a healthy gay community, and that doesn’t exist in L.A.
Um, Noah, that’s lawsuit shiz right there, unless you’re saying you have personal knowledge of what you’re talking about. And if you don’t … shut up. Just shut up.

Which might be what’s happening now; perhaps Bryan Singer’s attorneys speed-dialed ABC who emailed the PR department who called your manager who texted your agent who got into his Prius and raced to your house to tell you to shut the f**k up and start apologizing before ABC decides to send your TV character Kenny O’Neal on a long European vacation while his gay cousin, Stevie, visits from Cleveland for the next season and you’re out of a job

And so you instantly began to Tweet-apologize to everyone from Bryan Singer to Eric Stonestreet to Colton Haynes:
“I sincerely apologize to Bryan Singer for the horrible statement I made about him … My comments were false and unwarranted. It was irresponsible and stupid of me to make those allegations … and I deeply regret doing so. I have never been to Bryan’s house, and I admit there is no basis for any of the things I said or implied … I understand now that my statements were not at all funny and have serious implications.”
So, you know nothing of Bryan Singer but felt the need to spread false gossip? As what, a joke? A need for free publicity for your show? A desperate cry for attention? Whatever the reason …. Stop it. Well, after you apologized to Stonestreet and Haynes:
“To Colton Haynes and to the LGBTQ youth, especially those who have embraced our show, I have no right to dictate how or when anybody comes out of the closet; I know how difficult and scary the process of coming out can be, and the last thing I would ever want to do is make it scarier. For anyone. Lastly, as I said in the interview, I think Eric Stonestreet is a wonderful actor. I apologize to everyone that I’ve hurt with my comments and understand the damage that has been done. I am new to this and will certainly commit to being more thoughtful and wiser as I navigate all of this moving forward.
Look, we’re all new to stuff, but take a minute to think before you speak and unless you know firsthand about someone, maybe don’t talk or joke or imply any kind of sexual misconduct with children?

And maybe try to be more understanding about when and why people come out; and learn that the LGBT community is made up of all kinds of people; Elton John … Jack Mackenroth … Nathan Lane … Tim Cook … Ellen … Lea DeLaria … Laverne Cox … Chaz Bono.
Noah Galvin. All different, and all having the right not to be judged by anyone for who they are, much less judged by one of our own.

I’ll end with the words of one of the people you don’t know, have never met, and yet felt the need to trash in print. After your apology, Colton Haynes said this:
“It’s extremely ironic that only a month ago I was tweeting [Noah Galvin} and saying that he should win an Emmy for his work. Then today he returns the favor by calling me a pussy and the worst to the entire world. Let me just clarify, I’ve never met this kid, so for him to judge me without even meeting [me] and having no idea the struggles I’ve been through or where I come from is absolutely uncalled for and quite frankly embarrassing on his part. … And since when did he become the judge of what’s appropriate. Shouldn’t we all be supporting each other? Enjoy all of your success. You’re young kid…hopefully you’ll eventually learn a thing or two. Good luck. I’m sure I’ll see ya around. – Colton Pussy Haynes”
Take a minute Noah, but keep apologizing, and learn a lesson. We are not all like you, and we are not at all like one another, except that we are gay. Our experiences, our lives, our choices on coming out, or not, are our choices.

You made your choice on when and how to come out and good for you. Maybe that’s what you should say the next time a person publicly comes out:
“Good for you.”
And then stop talking.
